"What does it matter? It is gone, she took it! Why would you believe me now?" Anastasia said, standing a few feet away from Harry.

"Because I trust you, that's why!" he took two steps closer to her.

"You do?"

"Yes, I do" he held her hands and looked her in the eyes.

She smiled at his reply and wiped a tear, that escaped the apple of her eye.

"The file had her bank account on it. All her spendings and the money she had left. Also further in the back there was a letter from her father, that explained how he disowned her for trying to marry the son of his enemy." she explained.

"That's why she asked to create a conjoined account, I always wondered why."

"Did she ever tell you she needed money."

"No, not at all. Once in a while she would be gone on the weekends, claiming to be attending a handful of meetings."

"I do not know if this is really true, but that is what I thought when I saw the file."

Anastasia opened the bottom drawer and opened the wooden latch to reveal the hidden compartment of the drawer.

"Here is where she stored it."

Harry came closer to the drawer. Puzzled he looked at it, wondering how he did not realise the obvious latch.

"When she came back that one day, I do not remember her walking into this room." he remembered.

"Did you guys only talk, or did you offer her some wine?"

"I might have. That would have given her the perfect opportunity."

"Yup." Anastasia grunted as she stood up from the squat.

"Who is that guy she was going to marry? Me?" he was confused.

"I don't know."

"This is making me feel uncomfortable. Who is she?"

"I can't help you there Harry. You fell in love with this woman."

"I don't know what to think. I am so confused."

"Harry, you need to talk to her. That is the only way you can get your answers."

"Talk to Sally? I really do not want to do that right now. I can't trust her. I feel like an idiot."

Anastasia wrapped her arms around him to give him comfort. He starred into the floor. His mind was jumping from place to place. Everything he know, or he thought he knew was a lie. EVERYTHING. How could a person do that to anyone? What did he do to deserve to be treated like this? Harry buried his face into the shoulder of his best friend. He never wanted to let her go. He wanted to be with her, she would never hurt him, right?

She looked at him, hurt and broken, feeling his breath warmed up her shoulder as he tried to keep calm. Anastasia did not know how to help her best friend. She was not used to the evil side of humanity, even though she was in the face of it most of the days at work.
When ever she thought about Sally, she was mad and jealous. Jealous, because she almost married Harry, the man she was in love with since the first year of Uni. Sally was so close to her happily ever after. Even though she hated her guts, she appreciated for her decision to make a run for it. When the bride disappeared, Anastasia felt bad for him, but also she was relieved. She did not want to tell Harry that, because it would make her look like the most selfish person in the world.

Harry released himself from the hug and walked away to the bed room.
