Sally waited at the table, where she and Harry often enjoyed a meal before spending the night in his apartment. She was slightly surprised, that he accepted to come and meet her. The way he answered was very odd of him, but maybe he was just having a weird day. Sally was happy that Harry was finally giving her another chance after she ran away from her marriage in the most uncomfortable heels she had ever worn in her life. 'They are gorgeous' they all said. Gorgeous shoes did not mean they were comfortable, no they meant hell for the feet. After all she did not plan on running, but she could not let her future be wasted with Harry.
Her eyes were fixated on the door. Each time the sunlight would peek in through the door opening her heart started beating faster. She hated herself for that. It was not acceptable that he was giving her the feels again. He was dating his best friend, who he never stopped talking about. He talked about her like she was out of a fairy tale and when she was standing there in the dress, it was harder to believe she was even a real person.
Sally knew for a fact, that if he would leave her it was for Anastasia. Every time he mentioned her, his eyes lit up. It was not the same light that lit up when he was smiling at her. It was different, more bright. And she was jealous of her. They had not talked in years, but he was hangover on her, like if he had just meet her a few minutes ago. It was unbelievable. Each time he promised Sally, that he loved her with all his heart, she tried her best to believe him. It was not easy, but if she wanted to have the life she deserved, she had to live with her man being unconsciously in love with his best friend.
Sally looked at her velvet dress, wondering if she had over dressed for the meeting with Harry. Would he be wearing the tight tuxedo he did the other day? Hopefully! He looked very handsome. But she could not shake the resemblance to the tuxedo he wore on their wedding day. Sally knew they were different from the tailoring.
Was he trying to make her feel bad for running? If he just knew that this was the best decision she had ever made and it was all for him. It may have cost her relationship with her father, but that was the smallest price to pay for the love of her life.
It was getting late and the waiter came to ask what she would like to order for the third time. He was getting annoyed by her presents and she was embarrassed for siting here alone. She unlocked her phone to see if Harry had sent a message if he was on his way. Nothing, absolutely nothing.
Harry was letting her sit alone in their favorite restaurant! Unbelievable. She looked at the door once more. It was not moving an inch. She had had enough, there were more important things to do than wait for the man she had stood up at the altar. She applied another layer of lipstick and stood up to make her way out of the restaurant as fast as possible.
"Where do you think you are going? We need to talk! Sit!" The voice of a rather angry woman stopped her movements.
Her eyes meet the eyes of Anastasia, who was not happy to see her.
Anastasia was holding her phone to her nose with pictures of the papers in her files. Where in the world did she find them from?

Anastasia was now face to face with Sally. Her heart was beating hard against her chest. It was finally the moment she was going to get some answers out of that woman.
Sally's attention was focused on her phone. Her mouth standing wide open. Her large eyes stared at Anastasia in shock.
"Maybe you should tell me what is going on!" Anastasia demanded and gestured for Sally to take a seat and explain herself.
"I did not mean any harm, please!" She pleaded and sat down as asked.
"How could you do this to him? Where is your heart?" Anastasia whispered loudly and bent over to look into the woman's eyes.
"Let me explain!" The woman replied.
"That is the only reason why I am here talking to you! You really think I wanted to come here just to hang out?" She tried to stay calm.
"Is Harry even coming?" Sally asked looking at the door.
"No." Anastasia said, not noticing that she crushed the woman, "you are going to tell me everything!"
"Okay, I will. Please sit down. You are making me uncomfortable. People are staring to stare." She looked around worried.
Anastasia took a seat and crossed her arms. She was all ears. She wanted the answers and fast.
"I was having financial troubles. My father hated me, because I started dating the love of my life. Turned out he was the son of the owner of the biggest rival company. He could not even look me in the eyes." Sally slid Anastasia's phone back to her, who took it.
"Wasn't the love of your life awfully rich too? I do not see a problem." she was not giving into the story Sally was trying to sell.
"That is true. It is a lot more complicated than that. Richard's father did not approve of our relationship. Both of our fathers treatened us with disownment. Meaning..."
"I know what that means."
"Okay, sorry. I did not care about the money, I just loved Richard so much. But he must have felt otherwise. He chose the money over me. I was left completely alone to fight for my own place in society. I applied for thousands of jobs, but they all had one thing to say 'not enough qualification'. After that I just gave up, went to the casino and hoped to win money, with the money, that I had left before I ran from home."
"That is where you meet Harry?" Anastasia asked, raising her eyebrow. Why was she feeling jealous, after all she was the one in a relationship with Harry, not the woman sitting across from her.
"Yes..." Sally was interrupted by Anastasia's phone, which was violently vibrating on the table.
Anastasia held up her finger and excused herself for a moment. Her secretary was calling.
"Hello, Ms. Sanchez. How is your time off?" the man on the other end spoke out. Anastasia could hear him smiling on the other end.
"Yes, everything is fine over here. What is the emergency?" she told everyone in her office to only call her if it was urgent.
"Patient 08 wants to meet you as soon as possible. We offered to give him a meeting with Dr. Evans, but he demanded only to see you." he said, his smile fading.
Everyone in her office was afraid of Patient 08, that is why he was never called by his actual name.
"You offered? Or did Dr. Evans offer to help my patient out?" she was suspicious. Dr. Evans was always trying to steal her patients, because his ego was the size of the universe.
"Dr. Evans offered to help, of course. You know how that British man is." the secretary laughed.
"Thank you for the call. I will catch the next flight! Give Patient 08 a call." she directed.
"Will be done. Do not forget to send us the invoice for your flight, we need to see when it is best for you to meet your patient."
"No worries, I will! See you soon!"
"You too, Ms. Sanchez."
Anastasia ended the call and walked back into the restaurant. She looked at the table, where Sally was sitting before she left for the call. Sally was no where to be seen. Anastasia looked at the table and found a note, which was supposed to be a explanation for her sudden leave. Bitch, she thought to herself and made her way to Harry's apartment.
