It was Saturday afternoon as I lay on the couch watching Red Riding Hood. Amanda Seyfried had to be one of my favorite actresses, I loved her roll in the film. Personally, I would have chosen Henry over Peter but it's not my decision I suppose.
The vibration of my phone caused me to rip my gaze from the movie.
Annie
"Hey what's up?" I answered, my usual greeting.
"I'm breaking you out of your woman cave tonight, get ready to have fun!" She cried, almost bursting my eardrums.
"It's not exactly breaking me out if I want to be here, is it?" I sighed, flipping my blanket off. The movie would have to wait for another time.
"No excuses, we are going shopping!" She scolded me, leaving no room for argument.
"Ann-" I tried as she cut me off.
"Be there in ten!" And with that she hung up on me.
Sighing, I trudged upstairs to my room to throw on a college sweatshirt with jeans and my warm boots. I stared at my reflection, taking in my dull blonde hair and lifeless grey eyes. Eugh.
"Spencer, Annie's here!" My mother called, making me shuffle down the steps. "She says you two are going shopping?"
I scoffed, "Well, she is."
"Puh-lease. Nice seeing you Mrs. Hayes, I'll make sure Spencer buys something pretty!" Annie called, dragging me out the door.
"And here I thought I buy ugly clothes." My voice dripped with sarcasm, making Annie laugh.
"Cheer up ya Scrooge! Don't you remember what's at the mall?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
I furrowed my brow in thought, but it soon lifted as I remembered, "The smoothie shop!"
"Duh! Now let's go!" She tugged me towards her mom's jeep with a steel grip on my arm.

"Please, your boobs aren't big enough to be shopping here." I turned around to find Melanie and Shauna, hands crossed over their ample chests.
Annie and I stopped in Victoria's Secret for some new clothes, but I was starting to regret it now.
Melanie's piercing blue eyes narrowed in annoyance at me, her straight nose snubbed in the air. I couldn't deny that Melanie was gorgeous on the outside, but inside it was more disgusting than a sewer.
"At least ours aren't fake." Annie sneered, placing a hand on her hip.
"Right, oh yeah, because you're like, too poor to afford it anyway." She smiled sweetly and popped her hip out.
"Shut up Melanie. One day, all this is going to come back and bite you in the ass." I snapped at her, balling my fists in anger.
"Well it's a good thing I have a fabulous ass, isn't it?" She grinned, making Shauna laugh as they both sashayed out of the store.
"I hate her!" I threw up my hands, tired of dealing with Melanie.
"There there, when she's ancient and wrinkled we can make fun of her then." Annie patted my shoulder, making me laugh.
"Hey, isn't that Jason?" Annie said suddenly, pointing at a bench in the middle of the mall.
Sure enough, there he was sitting by himself staring straight ahead. He was wearing a simple grey sweatshirt and jeans, not moving, almost as if he wasn't even breathing.
I took in the sight, drinking in his features while he didn't notice. This boy was so incredibly handsome it took my breath away every time I saw him. Today he was freshly shaven, no trace of stubble on his smooth face.
