A/N: Here is a short little story about Ivy Pond, daughter of Demeter- and yes, it takes place at Hogwarts (where we all want to be- especially during exam time....). Well, I hope you like it, I know there is not much action but I think I may continue it and write about Hectors reason for visiting. Until then it shall remain a mystery. Comment if you want me to continue this story!

I pack up my possessions, making sure that my books are tucked neatly into my bags before heading to meet up with my friends. Cassidy laughs as I speed walk towards her. She and Tyler are too far ahead of me.

"Ty, tell her to slow down." I yell out, almost tripping on my long robes. Ugh, I hate the Ravenclaw robes. I would gladly trade them in for a camp T-shirt and a pair of leggings.

"Nope, you gotta catch up." He responds, speeding up. I chase my friends out to the Herbology rooms, making sure to keep an even jog. I am pretty fast and I don't exactly want that to become public knowledge.

Once we settle down I turn to see Professor Longbottom holding up a peculiar plant. I immediately know what it is and I smile when the Fanged Geranium looks at me. Herbology is my favourite subject, and for good reason too. Having Demeter as your grandparent makes you have a green thumb.

"Can anyone tell me what plant this is?" The professor says, setting the pot down on a table.

Neither the Hufflepuff's or Ravenclaw's around me speak up and so I raise my hand.

"Miss Pond."

"That is the Fanged Geranium, it is a common garden plant that is known to bite or attack if not taken care of. Its fangs are used in many simple potions and in cooking. It's most commonly used in potions but it has been seen in some interesting wizarding restaurants."

"Correct, 10 points to Ravenclaw. Now today we are going to be analyzing the plants anatomy. Put on your gloves and..."

I tune out, following his instructions subconsciously. As I shade in my drawing of the plant something catches my eye. There is a hellhound hiding by the edge of the Forbidden Forest. I stop colouring, and stare out the window completely immersed in the scene before me. Cassidy pulls on my sleeve but I nudge her away. What is it doing here?

I run outside, carefully looking around. I don't spot anything but the monster in front of me. It paces the edge of the forest, not going further and I grow more curious. Why is it staying there? Suddenly a boy walk out from behind it, giving the monster a gentle pat. Are demigods now fraternizing with monsters?

"What are you looking at?" The boy calls out. The hellhound behind him disappears and my eyebrows raise. That was a risky move.

"Who are you?" I question, moving closer to him. My wand moves to my hand and I slowly move the trees closer to the boy.

"Hector, son of Hades." The boy holds out his hand, causing the trees to look old and rottened.

"You better reverse what you did." I tell him, indicating that the trees have to be healed.

"I'm sure you could do that better than me." He's right. I raise my hand up, letting the trees go back to their original state. "What's your name Demeter girl?"

"Ivy, granddaughter of Hecate and Demeter. Now, what are you doing here?"

"Recon. Doesn't really matter. So, you should probably get back to class."

"I'm keeping my eye on you Hector." I tell him, walking back to Herbology. I see Hector shadow traveling again and I sigh. I forgot he could do that.

"Miss Pond, where did you go?" Professor Longbottom asks as soon as I make it back to class.

"Sorry Professor. I just saw a first year fall outside and I took him to the infirmary. It looked serious." I lie, gritting my teeth. I hope he buys it.

"Fine but do not do that without permission again." He lets me go back to my seat where I find Cassidy and Tyler waiting.

"What was that about?" Ty asks with a concerned look on his face.

"Oh, nothing. Just helped a first year out. Those Gryffindors can be so stupid sometimes." I tell him, using the same excuse I told my teacher. It's better to stick with the same story. Besides, I'm sure some random Gryffindor is in the infirmary, they always are.

"Well, I got the supplies for the lab out." Cassidy buds in, showing me the Fanged Geranium. I smile and read over the lab sheet, glad that the conversation is not on me anymore.

"So, what do we have to do?" Ty grabs the sheet from me. "Is it something to do with our diagrams?"

Oh, shoot. I forgot about that. I quickly finish colouring it in while Ty explains the lab. It's just a simple procedure to remove the leaves. I guess the Potions teacher wanted some to use. When I am finished up, Cassidy is holding the scissors up to the plant with Ty trying to keep the plants head from attacking. I sigh, can they not tell this is dangerous. I reach out my hand, lightly touching the pot and I see the plant relaxing. I hope it won't attack Ty.

"You shouldn't do that." I tell him, walking over to where my friends stands. I take his place, holding the stem back instead of the mouth as Cassidy clips the leaves. "The plant gets agitated when you are too close to the mouth. If you hold the stem like this, it will relax more."

"Mmmmk." Ty mumbles, jotting down observations. Herbology isn't really his forte, I think he likes Charms the best. Anyways, he doesn't pay enough attention here so I don't really take it as a personal offense that he is not listening. Some people just aren't cut out for Herbology. "Ivy, what type of potions can these leaves be used in?"

"Um, I think they are in some..." I name him all the potions that I know use them, and then I help Cassidy collect her leaves. The plant behaves for me, and when it tries to bite Ty I simply move my hand a little, forcing the irritable plant to lean the other way. Of course, this means it happens to bump into the most annoying Ravenclaw boy. I have hated him since day one at Hogwarts. He literally thinks that he is the centre of the universe and that he is the smartest one here. I mean come on, someone who can't even pass Charms is definitely lacking in intelligence. Sometimes I wonder why he in even in Ravenclaw.

"Ow! Keep control of your plant Poison Ivy!" Tanner growls, holding his hand to his chest. I glare at him, taking a glance at the plant. Of course it can't help me out in this scenario."

"Watch what you're doing Tanner and I won't have to." I reply, getting up to get the professor. .Although I would love to see Tanner suffer, that bite could be infectious. I think it may have put poison in his bloodstream. Hey, I don't really know this stuff. I'm no Apollo girl. "Professor Longbottom, one of the plants bite Tanner. I think he should go see a nurse."

"Yes, well then why don't you take him?" He responds, fiddling around with a quill. "You better make it quick, these bites are nasty if not treated correctly."

"Of course Professor." I answer, heading back to my seat. I quickly clean up my supplies and I notice Tanner watching me. "Come on mister, you have to go to the nurse."

"No way! I have an Arithmancy test after." He argues, not budging.

"Yeah, your mark probably can't handle another failure. Ivy, let him stay." Cassidy adds from her spot by the leaves.

"Can you two finish this?" I ask Ty, motioning to the lab.

"Yup."

"Then we are going to the infirmary." I grab Tanner's bag and shove it at him. He easily takes off his gloves exposing a nasty purple bite and I frown. It may be more serious than I thought. He doesn't follow me when I start to move so I grab his ear, dragging him out of the greenhouse. There are a few snickers behind me and I almost join them. Tanner being pulled from the ear would be really amusing if he weren't just bitten.

"Let go!" Tanner yells, trying to pry my hand away. I let go, but I make sure he is following close behind me as we make our way up to the castle. Eventually we make it to the infirmary. Me with a scratched knee (Tanner tripped me!!!) and him with a twisted ankle (Hey, it's only fair I trip him back).
