Trouble in the Bunker

Shelby's Pov

I was almost too lightheaded to hear Lydia's breath.

I was almost too dizzy to see her open her eyes as her body began to wake from its frozen state. 

Everything was too blurry and dark and confusing. 

But she was alive, I knew she was alive. 

"Shelby" she got up on her knees to pull me into a hug, as I weakly placed my hands around her shoulders.

"Are you okay?" she asked me, letting go from the hug to look at me. 

I furrowed my brows in confusion as she took the words right out of my mouth. 

"I'm okay, just tired. Are you okay?" 

Lydia nodded, "I'm fine, a little.. confused. Are we at the bunker? I.. I thought  Sarah was going to kill me" 

Rose butted in, "What, like you killed Anna?" 

Lydia sighed, "I didn't.. mean to do that. Look, it's kind of a long story okay? Is anyone gonna tell me what we're doing in the bunker?"

Ollie came to sit with me and Lydia and explained what was going on. 

Everyone else in the bunker resumed their planning - Hunter, Alia, and Rose were sorting us into groups by our abilities. 

Deadly abilities, defensive abilities, resourceful, and things like that. 

I tried to clear my mind as I drifted off to sleep on Lydia's shoulder.

*The evening before the humans surrounded the bunker*

Chloe's Pov

We were all quieting down to try and sleep when there was yelling in the corner of the room.

"Just chill out okay?!" Ollie pushed Sarah Leschorn away.

"YOU chill out" Sarah fired back.

Shelby and Bren returned from downstairs and intervened.

"What's going on?" Bren demanded.

Ollie huffed, "Sarah's going insane, and she wont admit it."

"Dont CALL me INSANE. I'm fine okay?! I'm FINE" with her last word she shot a glob of ink towards Ollie, which Ollie swiftly dodged.

I spoke up, "Woah Sarah, that's dangerous calm down..."

"STOP TELLING ME TO CALM DOWN!" she lunged at me, knocking me to the ground forcefully.

Ollie acted quickly, pulling a seed out of her pocket and tossing it on the ground.

She used her herbas abilities to grow the tree into...

A smol bush.

"Oh damn. Wrong plant."

She reached into her pocket for another seed, but had no time before she was cut off by Jabyn leaping into action.

Jay grabbed the smol bush and whacked Sarah upside the head with it, causing Sarah to stumble and fall.

"Why is it just her powers that are acting up?" Jabyn asked.

I shrugged, "Sounds like an undeveloped plothole that was completely forgotten about and therefore has no explanation"

Jabyn agreed, "You're right, it does. If we ever turn this into a book, we've gotta figure that out" and headed back toward everyone else.

Hunter had gathered everyone together and established that we were going to try and get some rest, a typical Otius.

Otius are always putting feelings and their heart first. Magnus, like me, aremuch more logical and putting their brain first. And Malum, the worst, are idiots and act upon impulse, the reason we never get along with them.

Of course, we were all together now and doing alright, other than Sarah Leschorn being passed out on the floor from Jabyn hitting her in the head with a bush.

My eyelids grew heavy as I lie down, with a last glance around the room.
