(John's P.O.V)

I saw Sherlock's face drop as James lifted the gun towards me. In a way I'm glad James had the gun because without it Sherlock would have still looked to blank. I had started to think he didn't care.

I wanted so badly to rip free and protect my Sherlock. I just wanted to be who I'm not. I'm not the clever, amazing, fun guy every one thinks I am...I'm just John. Little old me...

I shut my eyes tight. I did't want to see Sherlock's face as Moriaty pulled the trigger. It would have killed me quicker.

Bang!

I waited to feel the pain of being shot, but none came. I opened my.eyes slowly. Sherlock was frozen to the spot infont of a dead James Moriarty...

"Sherlock!" I cried, my eyes welling up with tears. He looked at me.and then back at the body. He seemed traumatized.

"You idiot Sherlock!" I heard a familar voice echo wildly through the room. I looked around to see Mycroft striding towards Sherlock. Behing him was...Greg?

I was unable to prossess anything! My brain was fried! Was I dreaming?!

Greg ran over to me and untied me. It wasn't untill he helped me to stand that I noticed the gun he was carrying. No doubt from his dad.

I used all of my remaining strength to run over to Sherlock who was now on his knees. I flopped next to him and cuddled close to his chest.

"Oh Sherlock, I'm so so sorry." I sniffled. He hugged me tight and cupped my cheek with one hand. He kissed my hard. I returned the kiss pasionatly. I pulled away to catch my breath. I looked into Sherlock's eyes.

He cradled me gently as I rested my chin on his shoulder. He obviously didn't seem to mind that I was covered in blood. I looked up towards Mycroft and Greg who both smiled at us, both holding hands. I smiled and they both blushed. Wasn't this snug.

"I promise I'll never let you get hurt like this again." Sherlock voice was muffled in the crook of my neck.

"I love you Sherlock." Was all I could say.

"I love you too John." Was his responce.
