"What a terrible thing, I thought, to let a moment go."

THE PLACE WHERE THEY were going was very special to Dominic. Every time he felt like everything was too much for him to handle, he would escape to there. He discovered the place when he was nine and never saw nobody except him there, which was good because for once he had something that felt like it was his, because when you grow up in a orphanage, nothing is truly yours. You have to share everything."Where are we going?" Agnes asked looking at him.
"Surprise" the corner of his mouth lifted a little.
Agnes rolled her eyes playfully which made him chuckled "But the birthday is yours! The surprise should be for you!" She protested.
"I'm not saying anything" he grinned "Now hurry up, you're too slow"
He saw her give tongue to him before back to walking. Sometimes, he had to remind that she was sixteen because she act so more mature than any older woman that he met. She had an amazing way with words and what she had said to him made his heart swell with happiness. Nobody ever manage to do that.
They walked for another while before Dominic stopped making Agnes look at him with a frown.
"Have you ever jumped a fence?" He asked smiling suspiciously.
"Uh.. yeah?" Agnes sounded unsure "But we are not doing anything illegal, right?"
"Well, I don't think so" He gave her a smile before throw his backpack over the fence "I'm not going to let anything happen to you, don't worry" he said while jumped the fence.
"I'm not worried" she smiled approaching and doing the same "I trust you"
I trust you. Agnes had no idea the impact of her words in Dominic. She trusted him. That means he was truth worthy, right? His smile grew bigger before he took her hand dragging her to see his precious tree house. It was kind old, but completely safe.
"Oh my god!" Agnes laughed clapping her hands together "I always wanted one of these! How did you find it?"
"I was walking around when I was little and kind of "bumped" in it" he replied "I guess somebody build it, but forget about it, I never saw anyone here"
"That's so cool!" She took his hand and squeezed "Thanks for showing me this" she smiled looking at him.
Dominic then looked at her eyes. She had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. His eyes then travelled to her mouth and he took a step closer, they were so close that he could feel her breath against his. They stayed like this for a while and when he was about to close the gap between then, she cleared her throat and took a step back.
"Are we going to get in or we just came here to take a look?" She smiled awkwardly.
