long talks

I was sitting on the sofa with Maddie between my legs, I was putting Bantu knots in her hair because she said she wanted her hair like mine. Antonio and all the guys are out, Maddie, Sarah, and I are at home waiting for them to come home. I just finished putting the last Bantu knot in Maddie's hair when she yawned. I smiled "are you tired"

She nodded "bath time"

I smiled "do you want me to give you a bath?"

She smiled and gave me a sleepy nod "yes please"

I stood up and picked her up, she laid her head on my shoulder and wrapped her arms around my neck. I looked at Sarah "if they come in tell them I'm giving her a bath and putting her to bed"

She nodded and sat back on the sofa scrolling through Netflix. I walked up stairs and looked around the hallways "Ummm sweetie what room do you usually sleep in when you are here?"

She pointed to the room I was staying in "Uncle Toni says that's my room"

I nodded and walked towards my/her room. We got inside and I sat her down. She ran to the bathroom and I smiled walking behind her. I turned the water on and poured some bubbles into the bath water. She pulled her shirt off and smiled at me. I smiled and asked her if the water was too warm. She shook her head no and I said: "Okay, I am going to turn around and you take your bottoms off and get in the tub okay?"

"Okay" she smiled and I turned around and waited. "I'm in the tub"

I turned back around and smiled she had bubbles on her chin and it made her have a bubble beard. I stooped down and was sitting on my knees while leaning over the edge of the bathtub. She looked around the tub and then the bathroom and frowned. I noticed "aww sweetie what's wrong ?"

"I don't have any bath toys"

"Bath toys?"

She nodded "usually when daddy or uncle tony gives me a bath I have bath toys" her frown deepened.

I nodded "okay, umm where does your dad or uncle tony keep the bath toys?

She shrugged "I don't know"

It was now my turn to frown "well sweetie I can't leave you in the tub to find your bath toys"

She nodded and her eyes begin to water "okay"

I let out a sigh " how about I sing you a song for bedtime?

She smiled and nodded "okay!"

I kneeled on my knees again and begin to wash her up. Once done I scooped her out of the bathtub and wrapped her up in a towel. I sat her on the bed and walked to my door and yelled "SARAH WHERE ARE HER NIGHT TIME CLOTHES!"

"HOLD ON!"

I went and sat next to Maddie on the bed and dried her off some more. Sarah walked in and handed me some tiny undies and a night time dress. I got her dressed and tucked her in the bed. She yawned and asked for the song. I smiled and sang hush little baby and she fell asleep. I turned off the room lights and cleaned up the bathroom, once that was done I silently exited and made my way downstairs. I sat down on the sofa next to Sarah. She looked over at me and smiled I smiled back. She turned to me " So, how long have you known Antonio?"

I shrugged "I dont know a couple of months I guess"

She nodded "your cute"

I smiled and looked at my hands "thanks"

It was quiet for a while "so how do you like staying here?"

I looked at her "it's fine, everyone if really nice...which is...weird and....unexpected"

"Weird why"?

"Well O never really expected people to be nice to me let alone this nice, also Antonio and the guys are pretty intimidating."

She chuckled "yeah I can see the intimidating part, the people being nice part not so much"

I sighed "well I don't know everyone I have met are usually jerks and are mean to me"

"why you seem friendly and are pretty"

I started playing with my fingers "Yeah, the whole pretty thing is new for me"

she nodded as if she understood "how old are you?"

"umm I just turned 18"

"cool, I'm 16"

I nodded "so are you related to Alex?"

she nodded "I'm his sister"

"oh that must be cool, right"

she shook her head "I can't date without having all the guys and girls basically interrogating the poor guy"

I laughed "they care about you"

she nodded "yeah I know"

she yawned "I'm gonna go to bed now"

I nodded "It was nice talking to you, Sarah."

"you to Taylor"

I laid down on the sofa and watched some tv until I fell asleep.
