10: A Conversation

/Aura's POV/

"So you sock this kid in the face, then you want his number?!" Reese yelled way to close to my own.

I shrugged. I'm kinda bored with this. I wonder how I can order pizza later. I think I'll just show up there and write down what I want. Yeah, I guess that'll work. I'll have to find a place first....

"Aura! Auraaaaa? Hello? Anyone home?" There was a knocking on my head.

Oh yeah, he's still here. I shook my head and gave him my full attention. Well, as much attention as he was going to get. He's acting weird though so I guess I have to listen. I motioned for him to carry on.

"Did you hear anything I just said!" I shook my head again. "Ugh. I said, why is that loser's number in your phone?"

I rolled my eyes, grabbed my phone from him and texted Reese saying that I asked for it.

He completely gaped at me.

---- let me explain how we got here

Reese knocked on my door and asked if we could hang out. Well he didn't actually knock or ask. He just walked in, tossed me over his shoulder, then said we were going out somewhere.

I didn't really care but he seemed angry then too.  I had no idea where we were going but I obviously couldn't ask, so I was just left to my own imagination.

He brought me to some parking lot next to what looks like an apartment building. And that's how we ended up here. With some idiot screaming all up in my face, like honestly, chill.

---back to the present

"Y-you asked him for it? L-like talked? Or just, I don't know. Asked him without talking? I'm confused. Why would you even want it in the first place?" He started firing all his thoughts and questions at me like crazy, getting louder and more infuriated with each word.

I rolled my eyes and tried walking away. I was done with this. He can't be getting angry at me, because I didn't even do anything wrong. The key word in all that was tried. That failed attempt to get away from him led to me getting pulled right back to him.

I fought him off of me and gave him and exasperated expression. What is his problem? I started walking away AGAIN. But once more, I was stopped by Reese stepping in front of me. I threw my hands up as if asking what he could possibly want me to stay for. He's never jealous like this! Yes, I can tell he's jealous but it's just an in-the-moment kind of thing don't worry about it.

"I'm just trying to protect you! I don't want you near this guy, he's no good. I may not be all that either but at least I care for you. I've known you long enough to know what is good for you. Please trust me when I say that you need to stay away, I care and love you way to much to let you get yourself into more crap then you've already been through. I know you don't appreciate people telling you what to do and I don't want to hold you back from anything you want to pursue. Just be careful baby girl. I need you."

I love Reese to the end of Earth and I couldn't even think of what I could possibly reply with. It was so heartfelt and I was a little annoyed that he wanted me to back off Alec but I accept his feelings toward the entire situation. Although, as much as I can get a feel for his view, I'm not going to stop at least socializing with Alec. I guess we'll see how this goes. It's not like he's going to find out. Or at least I won't be the one to tell him about it.

I give him a long, tight hug for a bit after staring at him in awe due to the pouring out of his heart. We silently walk back to the car with smiles on our faces and head to a pizza place. It's like he read my mind. Little did we know, we'd bump into a person to start yet another fight, one that ends a bit different than the last.

Hey guys.... I hope you don't find my house and come to murder me but I do plan on updating tomorrow too sooooo. The next chapter should be pretty.... Idk good? We'll see!
