14: Hello?

/Alec's POV/

I've been sitting outside Aura's door for a few hours now and I've heard nothing other than she's probably going to die and not to get any hopes up. I've cried some. I've punched some. I've even prayed some. Now all that's left to do is sit and wait. I'm not a very patient person though so this isn't blowing over well with me.

People have been rushing in and rushing out. A few news casters have been by but I shoed them away for Aura's privacy since I know she would be pissed about people being in her bizz.

"Bring him in." I heard someone shout quickly.

I watched as some nurses wheeled in someone briskly. What bewildered me was the face I saw of the person being brought in.

Reece Bronx

"Oh my god!" I shouted shooting up from my seat causing the nurses to jump.

"Are you alright sir?" One of them asked concerned while she broke off from the rest.

"Is-is that really Reece?" I stuttered.

"Do you know him? We couldn't find a source of identification." The same nurse questioned me confused.

"Well you know Aura Price? My girlfriend? That's her best friend." I told them, what!? Some of it was kinda true.

"Oh my! I guess that explains what happened then, huh?" Another nurse said with realization written across her face.

"Why? What happened to him?" I asked honestly wanting to know.

"Well he shot himself in the mouth. More than likely because of Aura's situation and the odds of her living." She said gesturing to Aura's room.

"Oh..." was all I could manage to say. I mean, if Aura makes it out of surgery alive then she'd be devastated to find out that her only friend out of her entire life is dead. What I really can't believe is that he took his own life because he couldn't stand one without her.

"Everything is falling apart." I muttered sitting back down. I mean people are dying or close to death whilst I just have to sit here in this hospital to watch it all happen. The nurses all sent me sad looks before continuing down into the morgue.

I sighed about to go home and get some clothes and take a shower before coming back. Just as I was getting up, everyone in Aura's room were starting to walk out.

"Wait wait wait, what happened? Is she ok? Did she make it? Is she in a coma? Sleeping? WHAT!?" I yelled eager to see if she was ok.

"Yes. Yes. No. Yes." One doctor said bug eyed from my outburst.

"Oh my god! Yes! Thank you all so much! " I exclaimed jumping around and hugging them all. "Can I see her? Wait, I don't care."

I didn't wait for an answer as I burst open the door and whipped my head to look at Aura lying on the hospital bed unconscious, regaining some color.

Even when she's sleeping she's still beautiful. I don't think she understands that. She's probably still under anesthetic so chances are, she won't be up for a while. I pulled a chair up next to her bed and sat down. I haven't been sleeping lately so I decided that I'd regain said sleep now rather than later.

As I was about to fall into slumber I heard a grown followed by some moving around next to me.

"Hello?"
