Chapter 21

Johnny's POV ~

I watched Ama go into the night ,
my only company was the baby.

No,my baby .

How the bloody hell was I going tell my dad that im a father at 19?
And ash? Oh my poor ash....

I look down at the child ,only a few months old .
Xavier smiled at me and grabbed my finger .
So small...and tiny......

I held him close and got in the car.
With one hand holding the baby and the other holding the steering wheel ,I drove home. 

-Time Skip-

I walled into the garage ,my father was in the kitchen making dinner

"Johnny is that you?" My dad called from the kitchen
"Uh-Yes dad" I said a bit nerves
"What's that you got there?"he asked as he entered the living room .
"Dad don't freak out, but its my...son"

There was a horrible moment of silence

And in a whisper he said ,"your....son.?"

I nodded and gulped ,"You see dad,before I dated Ash ,I had a relationship with a falcon ,her names Ama... And well ...little Xavier was born"

"Ama? As in Ama Redwing? Daugther of Vela Redwing ?"

"Yes.I think "

"I knew her mother Vela ,she was my drug trading partner before i gave up my life of crime. We were very good friends, she introduced me to your mother... She died last year by flying in a toxic area" he looked at my son. Then spoke again ,"This is my...grandchild? I'm a grandpa!"

He took that a lot better than I expected ,I let him hold Xavier ,like me ,he fell in love with him too.

"Does Ash know?" He asked

I shook my head ,"I plan on telling her tommorow"

My dad nodded ,"Good,now your mother left a crib in the basement ,you can use that ,goodnight"

And then he left.

I held Xavier close and went to go get the crib.

-Time Skip to the Next Morning-

I didn't know what to say

I didn't know what to do

All I knew was I must come clean .

I held Xavier close to my chest and knocked on Ash's Apartment door .
