(Luca POV)
"No!" a voice cries out. Aiden looks surprised at the fact it wasn't him saying it. He's not the only one.
"Rain," I say monotone, "go to bed."
"Sir, please-" she tries again, but I cut her off.
"Rain-"
"No!"
Everyone's mouths drop and I raise an eyebrow at her. Did she just really try to do that in front of everybody? I'm trying to protect her here and take care of something that is my business.
"Take her," I command.
"What?" she asks, shocked. Sky comes over and grabs her, but she screams "Let me go," and keeps fighting.
Alex moves towards them and helps take Rain away. They calmly take her up to her room but I can hear her screaming and crying. It makes my heart clench hearing her in so much pain.
I turn back to Aiden and everybody is standing there in silence. Aiden's eyes are still stuck on the stairs as if he wanted to see her again. It makes me mad. She shouldn't have been fighting for him. She should've understood that I was doing the right thing.
"Let's go!" I bark.
Everyone clears out and Nate begins to drag Aiden away. However, it didn't go so easily as planned. Of course, Aiden had to fight back and try to get out of his grip. Nick came and helped grab Aiden. They both held one arm and Nate kicked Aiden in the back of his knees. Aiden fell to the ground on his knees and we glared at each other.
I smirk and chuckle. "You're so, so stupid," I say.
A grin spread across his face. Watch it. "So is your girl," he says.
Anger courses through me and I punch him in the face hard. I don't mind the fact that he said it in front of my two best men. I know neither of them would say anything. Plus, Nate already knows who cares if they know how I care about her? Actually, I kind of do. It makes me look weak and I still shouldn't trust anyone, no matter who they are.
"You should be happy 'my girl' kept you alive for a couple more hours," I reply with a grin. He won't ever be able to tell her that. The look on his face was priceless, so I kept on. "Was 'my girl' so loyal, it was hard to get to her so you gave up now?"
He was speechless.
"Take him down," I say.
They start dragging him to the basement and I follow them. When we get downstairs, they throw him onto the chair forcefully. He struggles as they keep him down and chain him to the chair. When they have him unable to move, he stops and glares at me.
"Wait 'till Rain finds out about this torture chamber," he spits, "About what you did to me. She'll never forgive you! She'll know that you didn't just 'kill' me."
"Well when you're gone, how is she gonna know about any of this?" I ask. "You'll just be a lost memory and I'll make sure she never finds this place. She already knows you're gonna die anyways."
"She'll come to the conclusion of what's really down here. You have a basement for a reason."
"And when that day comes, I'll be prepared. Stop stalling. Let's go."
He watches panicky as the guys grab him. He throws himself around as they drag him down to the basement. I must be sadistic considering I'm smirking all the way down. They throw him into a chair and strap his arms and legs down as fast as they can.
I can only see his hair now as his eyes look down at the ground in defeat. I chuckle at his stupidity and roll my eyes.
"You know," I begin, "none of this would've happened or should've happened. All you needed to do was listen to my fucking orders. I brought you into my mansion and let you live here off my money. Off my power. I warned you to stay away from Rain. I may not have said it in exact words, but you know better than to test me. And what do you do when I give you an order? You defy me. Not only do you bother her, but you get her high and get the drugs from a guy who is our enemy. How did you know this guy?" I act as if I needed to ponder the question. "Oh! You're a traitor, right? Because that's what traitors do! They don't follow rules and stab their own people in the back. Good thing I don't allow information to get out." I end it with a smile then pull out a pocket knife.
