(Rain POV)

When I'm done with my shower, I dress in a gray sweater and skinny jeans. I put boots on because it goes better with what I'm wearing. I was taught to always look presentable and not weird. I dry my hair and put minimal makeup on. I'm not pretty enough to wear nothing at all.

When I go to open the door, I hear footsteps in Luca's room. Was he in there? Even if it wasn't, did someone hear me singing? Heat floods my face and my heartbeat picks up. I wait a while to give the person time to leave the room. The person won't be caught and I won't be stuck in an awkward position knowing who heard me. It works out both ways.

There's a knock on the door then a pause. "Yes?" I ask, loud enough for the person to hear. The door opens slowly and Luca walks in.

"Sorry," he says. "you were taking a while and I came in to make sure you were okay."

Good job, Rain. Something you were taught. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you wait. You could've eaten without me."

"You weren't taking that long. I just know that you usually don't take as much time as you did today."

"I'm sorry. I don't mean to keep anyone waiting."

He sighs. "Stop saying "sorry". C'mon, let's go." He gives a reassuring smile. I walk with him down to the kitchen.

If he wasn't in there, who was? It couldn't have been him because he came in and asked what took me so long. He must've been waiting in the kitchen. Should I tell him that there was someone is his room? What if I was imagining things? Or what if it was Brett or one of the members? I said I wouldn't say anything about them because I knew I would go back. I guess I'll just keep my mouth shut and let it go.

I feel selfish for not telling Luca about any of this. About how his gang might be in danger and I know that some of his rival gang's members have come in. But what do I do? I could put him in more danger by telling him. He may still keep me with him then it'll start a gang war. What do I do?

A sharp pain hits my head and I automatically put my hand on my forehead. My head throbs and I groan. It feels like my brain has a heartbeat. I wish I could rub the space that hurts, but it feels like it's right in the center of my head.

Luca's arm wraps around me and I lean into him. "Hey," he attempts to catch my attention. "Hey, what's wrong?"

I shake my head. "Nothing," I reply. He looks at me skeptically. "Nothing. I ... just have a headache. That's all."

"Do you feel sick?"

"No. Just a headache."

The strong aroma of different foods together hits my nose. I take a deep breath and embrace it. I wonder what they've made. It smells so good and it seems they've made quite a bit.

"Smells good, doesn't it?" he asks.

I nod my head.

"Seems like they wanted to make you feel better."

I panic. "You mean they know about all that happened?"

"Hey," He rubs my arm. "Don't worry about it. They know better than to talk to you about any of what they saw. Speaking of which, all they noticed was me taking you and ... Aiden inside."

(Luca POV)

She stops in front of the door. I already know what she's going to ask. "What happened to Aiden?"

"That's none of your concern." I walk through the door before she can protest. I hope I didn't come off as an asshole, but I said it in a monotone voice.
