Xavier's Perspective~
Carmen walks up and greets everyone. I tried to avoid all eye contact as possible.
Lord please don't let Carmen start anything.
"Hey everyone." She said gleefully. As she took a seat next to Chase, she glared at me with a side smile. One thing about Carmen, she is devious and manipulative as hell to get what she wants. Let's just hope she doesn't go all in on my ass.
"Hey Carr!" Chase joyfully said and glanced over to me and Tris. "You already met the ladies and now you are meeting their soon to be baby daddies!" I rolled my eyes not trying to laugh.
Tris gave her a simple nod knowing that Nicki would handle him in a heartbeat. I didn't want to seem like an asshole so I decided to speak.
"Hi, name is Xavier. Nice to meet you." Carmen kept smiling and lowered her eyes at me, "Likewise."
Table was silent once again despite the talking and forks and knives scrapping plates. Carmen could not take her eyes off me, which I knew I was in the hot seat. "Lyric, you are really lucky to have such a good looking boyfriend? How long have you two known each other?"
Lyric smiled and interlocked my hand with hers, "Seven months and counting." Carmen gave a shocking look, but seemed ecstatic at the number.
"Well you guys are lucky. I haven't been in a relationship in a minute. 3 years to be exact." She spoke. I leaned back in the chair.
I wonder why?
"Damn girl! Why that long? Have you been at least getting the D?" Nicki spat causing everyone at the table to laugh. Lyric popped her on the arm. Vulgar ass Nicki.
"Yes I have, and because apparently the guy I was with couldn't handle me." I rolled my eyes.
"Well, I guess he was a fool to let you go!" Said Chase. Tristan chimed in, "Seems like an asshole." I smacked him on the back of the head making him groan in pain.
Lyric got up from my lap and kissed my cheek, "Babe I have a class that starts like right now," she waved at everyone, "Alright y'all, I'll catch up with you guys later."
Whew. Thank god for her Biology class being around this time.
I finished my food knowing that I'm out the danger zone and decided to go get a bottle of water from the POD.
"So that's your little girl friend. She seemed nice when I got to know her." I rolled my eyes seeing Carmen right beside me.
I'm about to shut this little game of hers down before it even starts.
"Look Carmen, whatever you are trying to do is not going to work. Not after the shit you fucking did." I growled.
She sighed, "How many times do I have to say that I am sorry. Baby I miss you and I was young and dumb for what I did." She tried to touch me and I backed away.
"Seriously was and I forgive you but you need to move on with your life and stay out of mine." I firmly said.
She smacked her lips, "Whatever X, and how long are you going to play this little game with Lyric then? Does she even know anything about me?"
"No! And why does it matter?" I walked out with her trailing every stride I made.
"Alright then. If that's how you wanna play." And I left it at that. I ain't scared of Carman and neither should Lyric. To be honest, I don't give a fuck at this point.
I continued as I felt her staring at the back of my neck heavily and I went back to the table and let everyone know that I was leaving.
Just want to leave the bullshit aside and in the past. Why can't Carmen get that?
