TMNT 2007: NightWatching Love (Raph X Jamie)

Chapter 9: What Happened Out There?

Splinter offered to train Jamie and Skylar and they both said yes. He taught them how to fight without weapons, with weapons (J= sais; S= a single katana) and how to sense when something is coming without looking. When they were done, Skylar went to her room while Jamie went to the kitchen and sat at the table, lost in thought. She wore a pink sports bra, gray yoga pants, tennis shoes, and her hair up in a high pony tail. She couldn't quit thinking about Raph, basically ever since they officially and figuratively met.

"Child, is something troubling you?" Splinter asked, making her jump.

"Sensei. Um no. I'm fine," Jamie tried to remain calm.

But the look Splinter gave her a look that told her he knew something was bothering her.

She sighed and confessed, "For a while, I've felt something for Raph. I just don't know how he feels about me. I wish I did."

"Well, I know you make him happy, even when he and Leonardo aren't on good terms yet. Be there for him when his brothers may not be able to," Splinter requested.

"I promise," Jamie assured.

Splinter left and that's when the guys came home. Raph stormed to his and Jamie's room. The others sighed and they patched up their wounds.

"Guys, what happened?" she asked.

"Go ask Hothead. It's his fault anyway," Leo answered.

She looked up at the room and approached it. She breathed deeply and knocked on the door.

"Leo, we're done talking," Raph snapped.

Jamie walked in and before he could yell, he saw it was her and calmed down.

"Sorry, I asked them what happened and Leo told me to ask you. So what happened?" she asked.

"Well, Fearless wanted us to train topside, but then we heard a roar at this construction site. I went after it then the others followed, even though Splinter Jr. didn't want to. We ran into the Foot and fought this yeti. Some debris fell on us and then the yeti disappeared. I wanted to go after them, but Leo called me back," Raph explained.

He sat on the bed as Jamie got the extra first aid kit that he had in the room, sat by him, and helped him patch up his wounds.

"Raph, I didn't know how mad you were at Leo until now. Is it because he was away longer than he said he'd be?" she wondered.

"I don't know, but we normally butt heads from time to time. I'm sure I'll get over it, but for now, I'm still holding a grudge," Raph answered.

"Understandable. I hold grudges against my sister sometimes. But like I said, I still love her," Jamie replied.

He smiled and held her hand as she used her free arm to hug his free arm. They looked at each other and slowly leaned in. They were milliseconds from kissing until they heard banging, which made them jump.

"Hey guys! We're going to bed. See ya in the morning," Mikey said.

He walked off and they just stared at each other for a minute until they decided to go to bed. He wrapped his arms around her as they laid down and got comfortable. They both hoped that eventually, they would kiss.

A/N OMG! They almost kissed! But the brothers still need to fix what's going on between them.
