Blake paced consciously around the room as he waited impatiently for the wedding of him and his fiancé, Hope.
Though, what Hope didn't know was that he wasn't in love with her anymore. Yes it was an arranged marriage between his parents and the girl's parents but he did grow to love her. That, though, was completely terminated when he met someone else. His best man.
George, his band mate, best mate and best man, he had always had a soft spot for in the first few years of knowing each other. The soft spot became a crush ((😏🙃😜)) and the crush became love, his feelings for Hope were overtaken by his feelings for George, replacing them in a whole new way. This wasn't the way he was brought up, this wasn't what he was used to yet he couldn't stop the feelings no matter how hard he tried.
And the funny thing was George knew about it. And George felt the same. And George didn't plan on telling anyone. Not even himself.
That obviously didn't last long, otherwise Blake wouldn't be pacing round the room, struggling with his emotions. If he had have told the truth, he would have avoided this. But I guess your actions have consequences.
"I know. I know, I'm so sorry. I - I just can't watch you marry someone else while I'm out there supposedly supporting you!" The blonde cried as Blake continued to tread through thin water.
"Do you know what I could ruin? No, what you could ruin? Do you know how I felt? If you cared you would have kept your mouth shut and things wouldn't be so complicated. Ugh, you seriously had to fuck up now. Of all times, you choose now!" As Blake continued patrolling the room knowing time was running out, he didn't notice the tears that built up in the blonde's eyes. He had always been vulnerable and shy and awkward. Right now he was vulnerable.
Blake stormed out of the room not wanting to be in the presence of any other human being, leaving the blubbering male behind as he fell to his knees, weeping.
-
"Can I sit down?" The soft words sang sweetly in Blake's ears as he recognised the voice of his soon-to-be.
He took a moment away from scratching his beer bottle label to look up into the female's eyes; tears falling from his own. His face fell again.
"How long?"
"Excuse me?" Questioned Hope as she tried to act nonchalant.
"How long did you know I loved him?" He asked, eyes never tearing away from the bottle in hand.
"From when you met,"
Blake didn't give a proper response, more a nod of realisation.
"You know you don't have to go through with this, right?" The girl asked.
"I don't want to disappoint mine or your parents,"
"I see," A beat. "You know, I get you don't want to disappoint our parents. Do you wanna play a game? Would you rather that is,"
"Sure. You start,"
"Would you rather one breathe or a Lifetime Supply of oxygen?" With that she got up and left, leaving Blake even more confused...
