Blake's gaze averted from his shoes to the happy couple across the bar from him. The blonde and brunette men both had their hands laced together and their other hand held a beer bottle. The smile on the blonde was as wide as the Cheshire cat's and his eyes were full of joy. Blake could only feel envious of this couple sat at the back of the bar. They were mocking him. Purposely.
One of the males, the blonde one, was his ex. It was only one month they'd been apart and he'd already found someone else. Someone better. A replacement. A better Blake. Blake 2.0. The brunette George was with was almost the exact copy but only his body shape wasn't the same. He was more muscular and built than Blake. And who could blame George for wanting this anonymous male; even Blake wanted him.
As Blake sat their, ashamed and lonely, the blonde couldn't help himself from drifting his gaze over a few times. He noticed the brunette's fluffy hair flopped over. His body was slouched and his head was resting in his hands. From where he was, he noticed how tired the younger one was. He was exhausted. Though if anyone else looked at him they'd say he's fine. But George knew him too well. Yes, Blake hurt him like no one had ever hurt him, but he couldn't help but feel bad. He is out on a date with someone that looked exactly like Blake to try and get over him, but how can if he is with his doppelganger?
"Babe, you okay? You keep looking over at the guy over there. Should I be worried?" Asked Gale, the nice brunette opposite him. ((I was watching hunger games so))
"Oh no. Don't worry, I just thought he looked lonely that's all," he lied, straight to his boyfriend's face. George continued glancing at the boy, a pang of sadness hitting him in the chest.
"Hey, babe, maybe we should buy him a drink to make him feel better," suggested the kind male. This suggestion hit George like a tonne of bricks. Blake would have done the same when they were out together.
"I-I don't think that's a good idea. Maybe he's upset or something bad has happened and if we buy him a drink, he'll just drink himself into oblivion," stammered the nervous blonde, remembering his promise to never have anything to do with him. He looked down nervously to his bottle and played with the label, avoiding eye contact with Gale.
"Babe?"
"I'm sorry. I lied. He. He's my ex," the blue eyed boy shamefully admitted, hanging his head in despair. Blake 2.0 lifted George's chin with his finger, the same way Blake would if the blonde was upset. The same pang of sadness hit his chest again.
"That's Blake?" Asked the boy opposite George as his eyebrows furrowed in curiosity. George's heart rate picked up to 100 mile an hour as his heart beat out of his chest. "Babe? I won't be mad. Well, not at you,"
He breathed out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "Yeah, that's him," the blonde flinched as he saw the anger build in his boyfriend's eyes and his hand taking a firm grip on his beer bottle.
"So that's why you keep looking at him and he keeps looking at you?" The blonde nodded. "Are you fucking kidding me? Why didn't you tell me, I would have beat up that douchebag,"
"I didn't tell you because I didn't think you'd find out," he mumbled keeping his view on his fumbling hands.
"Babe, you can tell me anything," Blake 2.0 said, lifting the 18 year old's chin up once again. "Now please, if you don't mind, I'm going over there to talk to him,"
George tried to call after the built boy but he had already made his way to the other end of the bar.
The crying boy sat at the bar felt a tap on his shoulder, but he ignored it. At this point, he was uncontrollably crying but stopped when he heard a familiar voice call.
"Bla- um, Gale, please don't do this,"
Blake wiped the tears that fell from his eyes off his face and tried to think happy thoughts. But how could he when his heart broke at the sight of George?
"I'm sorry, can I help you?" The brunette asked his doppelganger, staring at him carefully to examine his similar features.
"I just would like to talk to you about something," replied Blake 2.0. The brunette's heart jumped to his throat. Despite his feelings he gestured the other to sit down beside him. "Can I just ask you something? Why did you hurt such an amazing, kind, gorgeous, loyal person like George? He is honestly the best person I have found and I can't believe you through it all away. But I understand why," Blake's eyebrows furrowed. "Your family, they didn't accept you, did they? So you decided to hurt George. I understand that," explained Gale, "I did the same thing. And I know you regret what you did and I know you still love him. And he still loves you, that's why both have been staring at each other all night. So for the love of God, will one of you two kiss each other already?"
The 17 year old stood up and pulled George's shirt so close to him that they could feel each others breath on their faces. He leaned in for a kiss and the blonde happily kissed back; Gale whooping in the background.
"George I'm so sorry i-" Blake was cut off by the taste of George's plump pink lips and it was his turn to kiss him back. They kissed like no one was around them. It was just them two, against the world.
