Just as any ordinary morning, Steve strode into the shop, glancing at Bucky as he served a new customer. For the first time, all that Bucky felt as he watched him stride in, was butterflies. He clutched his stomach, unsure of the feeling that he had felt. Sighing, he carried on working avoiding Steve's eye contact with all the willpower he could use.

Steve, on the other hand, couldn't not look at Bucky. He was so intriguing and mysterious that Steve was so drawn to him. Even though they had been best friends for a extremely [no exaggeration] long time, Steve saw Bucky in a completely new light.

Bucky exhaled as Steve stepped forward, "a black coffee please?" Steve asked, staring into Bucky's eyes. He complied with his friends request, pouring the java. "Bucky?" Steve called from the counter, leaning over slightly.

Bucky turned around, gulping nervously, "yes?"

"Do you want to meet some place, after your shift?"

Bucky scratched the back of his neck, "I don't know, I don't think it's a good idea," he said sadly pushing Steve's coffee gently towards him.

"Ah, okay. Maybe another time," said Steve, picking his coffee up. He paid and then sat down in the corner, a crimson blush splattered across his sculpted pale face and his cropped blonde hair falling slightly over his eyes.

Neither of them spoke again that morning, Bucky stayed behind the counter whilst Steve attempted to use his phone that Stark had given him as a 'sorry' gift.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Scott screeched, watching as Stephen make a portal to steal his ice cream. "Remind me never to let you babysit," he muttered stomping through the hall to find and kill Stephen Strange. Nobody steals Scott's icecream. Especially when it's 'Ben & Jerry's; Cookie Crumble' and 'FRIENDS' is airing on the TV.

"Well, I'm hungry. Obviously," Stephen replied in a baritone voice, rolling his blue-green eyes. "Hey Steve,' he greeted when the confused and disappointed super-soldier strode into the second sitting room in Stark Tower. He nodded and left for his own private room where he kept most of his things, which wasn't a lot. Steve wasn't sentimental.

Bucky in contrast, had so much stuff in his apartment, from old newspapers to books that he knew he would never ever read. His place was so cluttered and messy.

"Did you see Bucky?" Tony asked icily, striding down the hall with some new techonology in his hand. Steve sighed, ignoring his rhetorical question. Since the civil war, Bucky was still an enemy for the opposing side, even if it wasn't about the law anymore. However to those who didn't participate in the war, like Stephen and Thor, they stayed out of the dangerous tension. Another war would be even more catastrophic as the last, especially with Doctor Strange now a part of the Avengers. He's capable of destroying the world in ways you don't even know exist.

And that was just a part of the problem.
