For forty Days
Jesus was tempted by the Devil
In the forest without food or water;
That's a long time.
I've been three, five days, at the most,
And it's excruciating.
I'll bet he and his Father are having a good laugh.
'Look at him in his thin skin-suit playing deity,' they say
'His stomach's about as strong as a rusty hinge!'
'He'd crumble in a slight breeze or a strong fart!!'
'Say, how about a game of chess?'
'No, thanks. Checkers are more fun.'
Up yours, all-mighty deuchbags.
I'm playing my own game.
I'm not ashamed I'm a child
Who needs to be fed and watered.
What about the rest of them?
Aren't they culpable too?
No, I see. You make them kings.
I'll get by on spirit.
Death is less than forty days;
And rebirth is only three days after.
