I always wanted a girlfriend
Who wore seven-eyelet
Black leather boots
Not six or eight-eyelet
Not brown
Nor suede of any colour
(Certainly not a high-heeled boot
Or any with a zipper up the heel)
Recently I noticed they're making
Seven-eyelet black leather boots
With a zipper up the side
For ease of entry and exit of the foot I presume
I'm not sure how this development affects my desire
Probably I'll be celibate
I prefer isolation and disdain
To compromise and change
