Two weeks have passed yet there is no sign of Klaus. Everyone of us is in tension and I am especially nervous.
I enter my room and find Damon on my bed, smirking arrogantly. Whats with his mood.
"Are you happy about the situation?", I ask him sarcastically.
"Very", Damon's voice arrogant.
"How can you be happy?", my eyes open, incredulous.
"You will be too", he says cockily.
"Are you out of your mind?"
"As a matter of fact, I'm not. The good news is that we are no longer in Klaus's interest." Damon states.
"Damon, I don't understand", I say, confused.
"Klaus has found Katherine. So he is no longer interested in us. Thus, trouble has ceased.
This has to be the best news in a long time.
I fling my arms around Damon and kiss him. He puts one hand on the small of my back and the other fists' my hair and he deepens the kiss.
"Looks like someone is happy to hear the news," he commented, letting me breath.
"More relieved than happy", I say. "Does Elena and Stefan know?"
"Yeah, they do," he smiles. "Now, we'll celebrate", he adds and his fangs scrape my throat. I nod and his fangs tear into my skin. I stay still, lettim him have his fill. He withdraws his fangs and kisses the fang marks. We keep gazing at each other for what seems like an eternity.
My phone starts vibrating and I break our gaze to pick it up.
"Hello".
"Annette!! We're free", Elena almost screams, relief evident in her voice too.
"I know, I heard it from Damon", I asy, mirroring her.
"So that the drama is over, we are going out today evening for drinks", she orders and cuts the line.
