"Welcome everyone!" chimed and older-looking man, smiling around at all of the young boys sitting around the room. Some nodded in answer and some repeated a usual "hello".
"I'm so glad you all could make it," began the man, "so shall we get started. You all can call me sunbae if you'd like, or just manager. Today I'll be judging your auditions. I hope you all do well!"
In the farthest back corner sat the three boys, one much more nervous that the others.
"I'll start calling you all back one by one, in the order of your names on the check list outside. You are all free to socialize until I call you. I would advise getting to know each other. You may all be trainees, or even better, band members together." the man said with a smile and wink as he entered another set of double doors within the room.
As soon as the door was closed the room turned to a slight buzz as small conversation was made throughout. The three boys awkwardly stood up, eyes flitting back and forth between people.
"Shall we just... kinda... talk to some people?" suggested Jinwoo as he glanced down at Dongmin's wrist, checking the time the same as Dongmin had done probably a million times in the last 5 minutes.
"Oh man, 3 minutes. Maybe you'll find your person in here... y'know if we go and talk to some people. It's bound to happen, you know you can't avoid it
"I know, umh, sure let's just walk around for a bit I suppose..." Dongmin agreed, awkwardly rocking back and forth on his feet.
Another moment of silence fell over the boys as they all caught a glance at Dongmin's wrist, which was now 90 seconds.
"You guys, I... I can't do this..." began Dongmin who looked like he had just seen the most horrifying thing ever.
"Come on, yes you can let's just walk back and forth, let's go to the opposite side of the room," said Myungjun, grabbing Dongmin and slowly shuffling across the floor, weaving through people.
As the boys got to the middle of he room where the big doors sat, they suddenly opened, emerging and young and beautiful woman.
Jumping back at the suddenness and almost falling, Dongmin stumbled backwards into a strong chest.
"Oh, oh gosh I'm sorry I didn't mean..." began Dongmin, looking up at the stranger who had stopped him in his fall. Two simultaneous yet quiet vibrations caused the boys to look down to the source - their wrists - as their times reached a flat 00:00:00:00.
"Oh would you look at that," started the boy, "we're soulmates I guess!" he excitedly exclaimed, smiling down at the other, who was awestruck by the beauty that was, in fact, his soulmate.
"Yeah... yeah we are..." he slowly replied, breathlessly.
"Well, soulmate, nice to finally meet you! I'm Moonbin!"
