"Oh my God!" Jinwoo exclaimed, noticing Dongmin's wrist.
"When did... what... when... how...?" Jinwoo continued to stutter out, spilling random one-word questions.
"Shhhhh, keep it down now, I don't want everyone else to notice, gahh why are you so loud all of the time." Dongmin replied evasively to Jinwoo's many questions.
"Oh no you don't," Jinwoo grabbed Dongmin's shoulder as he began to speed-walk away. "You didn't answer a single one of my questions and I have many so wait." Dongmin only huffed annoyed at Jinwoo.
"Can't I explain all of this later, just please, let me get to class, I can't be late."
"Fine, but I'm coming over to your house this evening right after school and you have got to tell me everything, ok?
"Sure, just, whatever, but don't tell anyone, promise?"
"Promise." agreed an excited and confused Jinwoo who just simply shrugged his shoulders and continued on his way to class.
~After School~
"Dongmin, your friend is here!" his mom called from down the hall to alert him of Jinwoo's arrival. Dongmin groaned in response and drug himself up of the couch to greet Jinwoo.
Instead of even saying hello, Jinwoo grabbed Dongmin's arm and roughly pulled him up the stairs to Dongmin's room. Jinwoo hurried him into his room and shut the door, turning to look back at Dongmin with a very curious and question-riddled expression.
"Well?" was the only word Jinwoo said while waiting for Dongmin to catch his breath and begin.
"Well, yesterday I woke up and instead of saying six years it said three and a half days. I was kinda worried and confused so I called MJ to meet me at the cafe. I figured he would know what to do. He helped calm me down and we figured out that I would most likely meet this person at auditions. Which also means that they are most likey a guy..." Dongmin trailed off, waiting for Jinwoo's reaction.
"Why didn't you call me we've been friends for so long I could have helped you too!" Jinwoo suddenly exclaimed, stomping the ground and pouting like a small child.
"But listen, I've been friends with MJ for much longer than I have you, and you just would have overreacted and probably have told everyone in the cafe. I don't want to tell people. I haven't even told mom yet. I want to wait to see who this person is. You and MJ are the only people that know and I would like to keep it that way, got it?"
Jinwoo slowly nodded, taking in all of Dongmin's words carefully.
"Now, how about we go downstairs and eat. Mom made our favorite." Dongmin proposed with a smile as Jinwoo nodded once again and smiled also, following Dongmin out of his room.
~Night before Auditions~
"Ahh, are you guys ready? I am so excited." MJ said over the three-way call between himself, Jinwoo, and Dongmin.
An excited "oh yeah!" came from Jinwoo's side while a muffled "hmmp" came from Dongmin's.
"Lighten up Dongmin, tomorrow should be a very exciting day for you, you get to meet the person you are gonna spend the rest of your life with! We still have years to go while you only have hours. Consider yourself lucky." MJ tried to encourage from his side.
"Mhh, yeah I know but it's just so nerve-racking. I wasn't ever expecting this to happen so soon. Honestly I was kinda glad I still had a long time before. It gave me time to figure out things before I would settle down. And gosh, how am I going to explain this to mom?"
"Uhh, well, you could bring this mystery lover home and just be like, mom, this is my soulmate. Take the blunt approach." Jinwoo suggested earning a dissatisfied huff from both Dongmin and MJ.
"No, you should break the news to her now. Go down and tell her that you will be meeting your lover tomorrow. She will have good advice." MJ offered instead.
"But she's been really touchy about the whole soulmate thing since dad... I think I'd better not."
"Yeah, you're probably right," agreed Jinwoo and MJ while Dongmin huffed once again, still in search of an easy way to break the news.
"I guess I'll just let things happen and wing it when the time comes. I mean, what's the worst that could possibly happen. Actually, don't answer that. A lot can go wrong." Dongmin rambled, distracted by the situation at hand.
"Your mom is really nice and understanding, and she knows it's gonna happen at some point. She HAS to accept it." Jinwoo comforted, to which Dongmin nodded even though he knew they couldn't see him.
"I suppose. Well guys, it's time we go to sleep. Tomorrow is gonna be a LONG day, we need all the rest we can get, even though I probably won't be able to sleep a bit. Goodnight guys." Dongmin concluded their conversation, hanging up after hearing their "goodnight"s in return. He plugged his phone up to charge and laid down, staring up at the ceiling and sighing. Dongmin turned over and curled up in his sheets, and before he knew it, he was fast asleep.
