Prenote: If you only read the short version of Chapter I, I would suggest that you read it again. I accidentally published it last time, and wasn't actually finished with writing it. There is actually a big part that I added in, and it would be really helpful in understanding the story flow in Chapter II if you can go back and read it.

It has been a week since I arrived in the dream realms. Everyday consisted of cleaing, and running forth and back from the hidden village in the woods. The residents were very suspicious. I had to disguise myself as an elf to go out. By the end of the day, Bakaun and I would gather in his huge library, and study the ancient text. My watch did not work here, so I could only count each day.

Apparently, the world I was in is called a dream realm. There are seven dream realms in the universe, and Earth is known as the other world. The dream realm that I was in was called "Anima" The realm of life. It explains why there are only forests in this realm. I found a variety of plants and animals here that could not possibly exist on Earth. I took great note of the different species in this realm. It would totally surprise the people back at home, though it is a shame that I didn't bring my camera. It was by the end of the week when that  happened. A villager fell sick and Bakaun said I needed to fetch some random rare herb in a faraway forest for him. Well, being kicked out of the house, it was not like I had any choice. It was on my journey then when I met him.

[At the beginning of the journey]

Sunlight shone through the trees, the leaves rustled and birds flew overhead. I was in a conventional traveling outfit, made by Bakaun's maid, whom I later was introduced to as Lilian. It was a light, durable, and flexible dress with lots of secret compartments. Bakaun, being especially nice, (probably because he felt guilty) even gave me a white oakwood staff for protection.

The trail was muddy, and there were only berries here and there for me to eat. I was getting very hungry fast.

*gggrrrrrrr

I twirled around. It was wolves. I looked up at the sky. The sun was slowly setting, night was almost here. I grasped my staff. I was ok with basic magic spells that Bakaun taught me, but I never had real bettle training.

Shit. Deep trouble. Quickly canting a spell, a flame bursted out at the tip of my staff. I eaved the staff at the pack, stinging some part of their furs. A wolf yelped, and moved back, but the others circled closer.

"Go away, go away. You rabid dogs." I muttered under my breath. They circled me in. I was trapped. A vicious tawny wolf tried to attack me firt. I swung at him with a yell. It dodged. Another black wolk came at me from behind. I tried to block, but he scratched me on my leg. Temporarily losing balance, I stumbled and lost a grip on my staff.

Birds in the trees cawed, and everything became cacophonous. Gasping for breath, I stood up. A wolf crawled near, I kicked at its head it it whined. The others began attacking too. I managed to hit some, and kick others, but I had barely any strength left. As the pack began to reform into a circle again, a big wolf stepped in. The alpha wolf probably. I fell, my legs weaked with all the wounds and scratches.

I thought it was my imagination, or maybe hacullation from the loss of blood, but it appeared to me that the wolf was snickering and sneering at me. I felt faint.

"Scram." I waved at them half heartedly.

At the sign of the Alpha to come in for the kill, the wolves circled, and readied themselves to pounce.

swoosh

A smaller wolf yelped.

swoosh

Another wolf yelped, flung into the air. Warm droplets rained on my face. It smelled nasty. I realized that it was blood. I wanted to puke, but whoever, or whatever it was, continued slashing. The alpha gave a howl, and the pack limped away.

I tried to look up.

A hooded figure stood above me, by now, it was too dark to tell its face. He leaned towards me, and the only thing I could see was a silver scythe, caked with blood, glinting in the moonlight.
