I slowly opened my eyes, and big brown eyes, peering down at me. I screamed, and the creature shrieked and scurried away. Slowly, I got up and examined my surroundings. I was on a straw bed with lots of leaves on it. The room was small, and seemed like a small wood cabin. It was dim, and alarmingly I realized that it was because the sunlight was barely coming in from the window. CRAP! It must be past six. I was in for a lecture once I get home. As I silently dreaded over a sermon at home, a creak by the door called my attention. A small form appeared. It was the creature earlier. It had large irregular eyes and ears that grew out from the side of its head. It has a pale sickly green color for its skin, and walkled with a hop. I scooted up against the wall. It came up to me and sniffed. It reminded me of a dog. Slowly, I reached out and petted its head.
After a few minutes, the door opened again. Another short creature hopped in. But, it had a very different atmosphere from the previous creature. It was very intimidating. It had a stout form, white hair, and wore a monocle on its beady left eye. Strangely, I didn't its appearence out of place at all, infact, I found it amusing.
"Well what do we have here?" he said astutly. I was on my guard.
"Well it seems like we speak the same language." I said.
"Indeed it seems we do." The shrewd creature walked to a small rocking chair in the corner of the room. "And so, whats your name girl?" He asked.
"You should give out your name first before asking others."
The creature sighed. "Youngsters these days," he muttered, "Fine, my name is Bakaun. I'm a Hobgoblin. And you, little human?"
"Hobgoblins don't exist. They are only a fairy tale." I replied.
"Well human, you have arrived into the dream realm, or did you not know what you were doing when you stepped into the hex ring?"
Dumbfounded, I stared on.
"Well human? your name?" The creature tapped his foot impatiently.
I sighed, it wasn't going to get any easier. Faintly, I recalled that we shouldn't tell fairies our true names, not that I really believed him. I guess I wil just stay until I find someone sane. Well, just in case, Aria Olwson is going to be Shyria Owlsong, wise decision to play the game. Yep, nice name. I chuckled to myself. "My name is Shyria Owlsong. A pleasure to meet you Bakaun."
Bakaun snorted. "Interesting name ya got there human. Come, follow me if you want some food, tsk found you half dead in the forest. What would you have done if I haven't been there?" He gave and exaggerated sigh, "You have just incurred yourself a life debt to me. And I intend for you to pay back in full." He smirked, smug. I rolled my eyes and followed. stingy.
"Whats the little one called?" I yelled after him.
"He ain't got no name. Call him whatever you want."
Thoughtful, I slowed down. Names for a small hobgoblin, well, not that I know much. I stared down at the creature. It looked back up at me, hopeful. Fine, I will get on with it. "From now on, your name is going to be child." I whispered to the small hobgoblin.

Bakaun led me to a small lit hallway and into a flight of stairs. From my observations, this wasn't just a simple wooden cabin I was in. It was a tree. I was freaking living in a huge tree. It was an amusing situation. I would have laughed if I wasn't surrounded by magical creatures with not one human in sight. My footsteps clicked soundly against the stairs as we went down. Were these hollowed? Dang, huge hollowed tree. My day was just getting better and better. So much for having a sturdy house if it is even one.
I arrived at the living room. There was a brightly lit fireplace, and another hobgoblin (I assume) was tending over it. From he outfit, I thought that she might be a maid, or Bakaun's wife. But the Hobgoblin steadily ignored us, probably a maid.
There was a small bowl of gruel on the table. I sat down by the fire and began eating after a few suspicious sniffs.
"So, now I ask and you talk. human." Bakaun sat down in a fluffy armchair. "How did you arrive here? There are not many ley gates and hex rings connecting this world to the human world anymore." He stated matter of factly.
"I dunno." I replied. "On the morning that I was going to school, I saw a small figure run really fast in the woods. It was probablyl this tall," I motioned with my hands "and it can run really fast. So I decided to look for it once I came home. But when I went into the woods, I was knocked out or something, and then I ended up here." I shrugged.
"Preposterous! What idiotic mellow brained creature would do this!" he fumed. "We are never suppose to bring humans into here. Never!" He looked back at me. "You!" he pointed at me. "I found you almost half dead in the forest. Do you really have no recollection?" I shook my head. "Then is any of you possessions missing?" He asked.
Child brought my backpack over. I was still in my normal clothes (thank god) and there was nothing amiss in the bag. I shook my head.
"So its not your inventories." Bakaun continued on my himself. "Then, what would you have to offer this world, that would result in some creature breaking the ancient rules?" He looked me over. I shrugged. "It makes no difference. Since you owe me a debt, I shall gladly accept it." He said, "You shall become my student in the scholarly arts until you manage to go back, or until I deem that you have ran enough errands for me. I doubt you will understand much of what I say, but you are welcome to listen when I lecture in the hall." With a huff, he walked away. "Your room for now will be the one you woke up in." He called back.
Great. A life debt to pay, a wierd goblin who seems like a teacher, and a completely new strange world where not a human is in site. Wow..what could be next?
