Chapter 16

Keep calm because there's always a reason to smile.

It was my 16th birthday. I've received a lot of greetings but it seems like my father, and my sister have forgotten. Well, they always did.

I saw Fitz, I called him but he just kept walking and snob me. So, he is now included to the list of people who will ignore me on my birthday? Of all people! He's the only person I expected to greet me since I didn't received any greetings yet.

I opened my locker loudly and saw a CD wih a written note placed in a piece of paper.

'Play this at 6 pm and I'll be there."

I closed my locker and leave. I am planning not to attend my classes since its my birthday.

But I was hit by curiosity that's why I went back at my locker and get the CD.

"If you will not be there at 6 pm you'll see!" I know I looked like a crazy bitch right now since I am talking to myself.

I shot my locker's door when I saw Fitz standing on his locker.

I just ignored him and was about to leave when he asked me something.

"You're not going to class?"

I just use sign language for cutting classes without looking at him.

I was at our backyard. Waiting for 6 pm. I don't know why I'm following the command of this piece of paper.

The answer is I also do not know why, it feels like there's something inside me urging me to follow it. It was already 6 so I placed the CD in the CD player and it started to play.

The voice seems familiar. I flip the paper that I'm holding, there a 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' was written. I move the note closer to my eyes it looks familiar...

I suddenly looked at my back after hearing the sound. I paused the music and peeked what or who fell beside the plant. I was about to move closer to it when I saw it move.

"Who's there?"

I forced too be courageous but inside I am really afraid.
