To the boy in the poems
You have come so far
I’ve read your changes
Your struggles
Like a novel waiting to be read

Your laughter is like music
To the boy in the poems
You have come so far
You’re now tasting the sky
Instead of a living hell

Where the demons
Hurt you
And you will never have to go back
You have come so far
But the sad fact is that,
You're still the same.
Just finding a way
To change

There he was, an unlit cigarette between his lips. Debating if he should repeat his old self again. Spending almost 4 years in rehab, there he was, on the same spot he smoked weed for the first time. After that, he completely changed. There wasn't a single drug he hadn't tried. Getting in contact with the wrong people, going out with them when your friends are at home worrying that you haven't been at home since 2 days is not a great thing. Of course now, they all lived separately but at that time they lived together. He started gaining pressure, he started getting frustrated at everything. He needed a distraction, something that made him forget about his surroundings, made him forget he had friends as close as family waiting for him back home. He just wanted to forget everything happening in the present. The temptation was only for a short period of time until it became an addiction. He couldn't stop. His friends got deadly worried and soon he was sent to rehab.

This was the first time they were having a get together, with all of the members. This plan kept on delaying for reasons. Members were either busy or they simply didn't want to come.

Let's just say that new year was the perfect opportunity.

Sighing, he picked up his recent purchase of cigarettes and threw it somewhere far in the sea with all of the strength he could gather up. He got up brushing off the sand on his jeans and mentally prepared himself for the next awaiting hours. He silently stared at the sea for the last time and started walking towards his destination, telling himself to not make or do something that'll take him back to the past.
