Every second
He savored it like his last
He knew all these things
were bound to happen
Yet he didn't know how to stop
Looking at others happy
Made him get butterflies
Made his sky gloomy sky
fill with millions of colors

Life isn't always sugary
It can have millions of bitterness
tsunamis
thunderstorms
But even after all those happenings
Comes a rainbow
If you look closely you'll see
Not many people can
Because their canvas is painted in
Darkness

Once you start facing reality
You'll start to see paper hearts
Everywhere
You'll find so many paper hearts
That you'll start thinking
Yourself as one

That's where he messed up, he thought the world was just a test he never prepared for. Making people happy will keep him happy too he thought. That's not the case in this generation. The people in this new world take everything from you and in the end give you nothing but pain.
Pure pain. He knew this was bound to happen, he just chose to ignore it. Now, as he stepped out of the hell hole after 2 years, he felt like a child getting a lollipop, a kid with a balloon. He felt at ease. Everything was the same as he left it as two years ago. Parks, streets, everything was the same. He knew at least one of his friend might have planned a party for this new year. Recalling all those times they spent together, gems he would call them. His friends thought he was still in Seoul but for the matter of fact he was in Busan. His personality completely changed when his brother died. He just felt wronged. None of his friends knew about this incident. He just simply left. Without any words whatsoever. He went on with the hope that he'll get better if he lived with his aunt. Might even forget all those happy and beautiful times he had with his friends whom he took so much care of but what he got in return? Ignorance.

Shaking his head, he went to the nearest phone stall since he didn't own a phone and called one of his friends.

After a few rings, he answered,

"Hello?"

" Hello hyung"

" Is this who I think it is?"

He slightly smiled " Yes it's me"

"How are you? Where were you all these years?"

" I had some problems so I had to leave. Sorry hyung"

" It's okay! Listen since it's new years, I finally got a chance to throw a party! Wanna join?"

"Same address?" He asked.

"Same address"

"I'll meet you there hyung. Bye!"
He hung up the phone.

Frankly, nervous would not even be at the level he was feeling right now. He was feeling all sorts of emotions, excited, guilty, nervous, stressed and every word that relates to these words. He was meeting everyone for the first time in two years. Without a single goodbye he left. Now he'll be greeting them with hellos and millions of questions in return that he can even process to prepare.

Calming himself down a bit, he made his way to the bus stop.

It's now or never. He thought.
