Minato stared at the child in his arms, or more so to say the baby girl in his arms.
Both Minato and the baby girl now orphaned, he took the responsibility of watching over the girl. The Konoha Council weren’t very fond of the decision but Hiruzen, the Third Hokage, proved Minato to be a potential young boy that despite his age, he knew to distinguish from right and wrong. He was a responsible ninja and he’s proved it. He’s hardly caused trouble and his personality only promotes his justification.
Minato himself was only still a child, only ten years old, while the baby girl was only a year old. Minato had recently been given the title of genin after graduating from the academy and placed in a team with one of the Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya. He couldn’t be any happier until the death of his parents. Minato got to know his parents but the little girl was only going to be able to see pictures of them. She was far too young to even recognize them.
The baby girl began to cry and Minato slightly panicked but relaxed and gently cooed the little girl.
“From now on, everything isn’t going to be easy but I can promise you that, despite being the only brother you’ll ever have, I will be the best brother you ever had, Ayaka Namikaze,” Minato smiled at his little baby sister. As if she understood him, the baby girl named Ayaka slowly stopped crying and she opened her eyes to look into Minato’s. The baby girl was very similar in appearance to her brother. She had the same yellow hair as he did and the same ocean blue eyes. Minato’s smile grew wider and he continued to speak.
“I will protect you with all my life, teach you everything and anything you need to know, whether it be about being a ninja or boys, bring you back up when you’re down, to always be there when you need me, and give you all the love you will ever need.” Minato watched as Ayaka slowly began to fall asleep, as if she knew she was safe in his arms, with a smile on her baby face.
“I promise.”

I will start from when Kakashi was younger and the love story will progress from there. I feel like it would deepen the (future) connection between the main character and her love interest by showing how they get to know each other and fall for each other, how they get there, to make the story more interesting.(: I did not make the story cover. Stick around though, I’m sure you’ll love the story.
