A young girl by the name of Ayaka Namikaze panted, falling to her knees after extensive training with her brother who was now a Jounin with his own team and has earned a great title within the Five Great Shinobi Countries as Konoha’s Yellow Flash. Ayaka had been watching and hearing of her brother’s great accomplishments and she has grown to look up to him and has constantly been trying to become as great as him.
Minato saw her determination and not only has he been helping her strengthen her ninja abilities but has recently been teaching her the technique that gave him his nickname: the Flying Thunder God Technique.
“You’re doing well, Imouto. To be honest, much better than I expected,” Minato said as he gathered his special kunai. Ayaka looked up at him with a grin once he said this.
“Really?” she asked with excitement, to which Minato replied with a nod. Ayaka had a similar personality to that of her brother’s but she tended to be a bit more talkative and had a more playful attitude. If they were a given a contest to create a creative, fun game then Ayaka would win.
Ayaka stood up as she handed the special kunai she had in her hand to her brother.
“Come on, let’s go home,” Minato said as he lifted up his sister and put her on his shoulder.
“Onii-san?” Ayaka called out her brother. He looked at her as to say he was listening. “Why is there war?”
Minato was slightly taken a back at the question but understood why she would ask that, especially when the Third Shinobi World War was going on. This war tended to worry Minato; Konoha has been sending relatively young children to the battlefield and his biggest fear was that his sister’s team was going to be sent into the war where many young children lost their short lives. Yes, this was the duty of a ninja but his sister was so young, the current and only family he has and he didn’t want her to have a short life.
“Well, there’s a lot of reasons as to why there are wars, Ayaka-chan,” Minato replied as he began walking.
“Like?”
“Several reasons are that one village wants more power than the other or that one village has something the other hasn’t and they find it unfair that they don’t have it,” Minato began.
“But, wouldn’t that just be a conflict between two villages? Unless those two villages were big ones, like two of the five great hidden villages, then yes that could start war couldn’t it? Especially because of alliances that can drags other villages into the war and cause a big one, right?” Ayaka babbled on as she tapped her finger on her chin thinking and analysing the situation.
“Exactly,” Minato smiled satisfied at his sister’s conclusion. “You basically answered the question yourself.”
“I did? I did!” Ayaka smiled happily at the realization.
Minato lightly laughed until he heard someone call his name. He turned to look it was Kushina who called him out. He smiled at the sight of her.
“Kushina-chan, hey,” Minato greeted when she approached him.
“Eh? Kushina-chan? I don’t mean to be rude but,” Ayaka jumped off her brother’s shoulder and looked at the woman, “who are you, exactly?”
Kushina stared at the girl but then smiled wide. “Oh, you must be Minato’s sister, Ayaka! He’s told me plenty about you and I’ve always wanted to meet you, dattebane! You look a lot like your brother, ya know?”Wow, she talks plenty, Ayaka thought as she stared back at the older kunoichi but then cracked a smile while she murmured, “Dattebane, hehe.”
