Chapter 8

"I kind of want to be something new, something really cool to this army" Y/n perked up, Bella was silent for a second "So nothing that I listed?" She asked. Y/n shook her head a bit and sat up, "No not really, I'm pretty good with swords! So is there anything for them?" Y/n asked, Bella stopped for a second before bursting out in laughter. "Swords?! Come on! That's too funny!" Bella laughed, Y/n frowned as Bella held her stomach. Yet Bella noticed the face and sat up quickly "Oh crap you weren't joking.. Hm.. Maybe talk to Kenzie.. She starts people up with the training so maybe she can help you" Bella shrugged a bit. Y/n stood up "Alright then, well where is she?" She asked, Bella pointed over to a door in the corner. Y/n walked over to the door and knocked a bit, there was a golden name tag that was on the door with the full name 'Mackenzie Morrow'. "Come in!" Kenzie's voice chirped, Y/n opened the door a bit to see many papers scattered on the wall of drawings. "Oh Y/n! Did you pick what you would train for yet?" Kenzie piped spinning in her chair. "Uh well kind of, That's why I came here" Y/n shyly explained walking into the Office. She finally got a better look at these drawings, they were characters and weapon designs. "Oh? Well take a seat then, Don't mind the mess" Kenzie said moving some papers off of her desk. There was two shiny black chairs on the other side of the dark wood desk, Y/n sat down quickly. "So uh, I was thinking. I am good with swords and not really great with guns or handling animals, So maybe I could train with swords instead? Maybe as like a swords girl or something?" Y/n asked, Kenzie widened her eyes "Oh" she breathed out. Kenzie took a deep breath and leaned back in her office chair, and hummed in thought as Y/n silently awaited an answer. "I don't know Y/n, Swords are hard to handle in battle... You get to close to the enemy and you can easily get hit.." Kenzie mumbled. "P-please! I can train to dodge and maybe use bombs or something! I could learn a little bit of everything...?" Y/n quieted down quickly, Kenzie sighed and ran her hand through her brown hair. "I can try my best and try and get permission from Red Leader but don't get your hopes up" Kenzie said. Y/n smiled widely as she stood up with a squeal and hugged Kenzie over her desk "Oh thank you! Thank you! Th-" Y/n was cut off by Kenzie hissing defensively "Off please! We are friends but not close friends!" She hissed, Y/n shot away with a awkward grin an a shrug. "Heh sorry Mackenzie" Y/n chuckled, Kenzie blushed a bit and stood up "No! Come on don't call me by my full name!" She whined. Y/n walked to the door with a proud smile as she waved goodbye to flustered Kenzie, Getting a small waved back as Kenzie sat back down in her chair and spun.

Y/n walked out to see Bella chatting with Jinx, before noticing the girl and walking over. "So what did she say?" Bella asked raising an eyebrow, "She said she will ask Red Leader and get permission and then I will learn a little of everything and still work on my sword skills" Y/n said, Bella smiled "That great! Well it's going to be break now, so if you want you can go get Sky and Spring and sit with them" Bella said, Y/n nodded. She turned around and looked around, and quickly spotted the two girls talking to Wendy. Y/n sprinted over to them "Sky! Spring!" Y/n piped up, Spring spun around happily "Y/n! Did you chose what your going to train for yet?! I hope it's a Sharp Shooter!" She chirped, Y/n shook her head "I'm going to train with swords! And take a bit of training of everything so I don't die in battle" She explained. "Huh that's new" Wendy stated, Sky grinned "So you cool stab people! How lucky!" She piped. Everyone went a bit silent and glanced over at Sky, "Uh just.. Forget I said that.." She mumbled. "Anyway, I'm hungry let's go eat" Wendy spoke standing up and stretching. The four girls walked out of the training room and into the halls where they spotted a lot of people, all heading the same way. "Wait where is everyone going?" Y/n asked, "To the food court" Sky chirped. Y/n felt a buzz in her uniform pocket and pulled out her phone, The contact was Matt. "Who's texting you?" Spring asked, Y/n shrugged "Just a guy friend"  She said as the girls walked into the food court
