Leigh Anne tugged her beanie over her ears, wrapping her arms tighter around herself. Maxies was a decent enough place, so she tried her hardest to stay optimistic about this, instead of already being miserable. She liked Zayn well enough, and Louis was always a good laugh. This could potentially not be the worst thing she would ever have to site though. She took a deep breath as she got to the door. She could do this. She got on stage practically half naked and rocked her ass off every night. She could sit through a few drinks. Besides, there would be alcohol. She got this.

She ran a hand through her straightened locks as walked into the place, smiling as she checked her coat in, but keeping her scarf around her neck as she walked farther into the bar. It didn’t take her long to spot out their table, it was already ringing with laughter. Perrie’s giggle filled the air as she tiled her head back, and Louis was telling some story that she could almost bet they had heard a thousand times, but it was still funny. Even Zayn was laughing between sips of beer. She smiled as she watched, because this was her life just a few years ago. She’d be there, between Harry and Louis, her face buried in her hands as she tried to calm herself down. It was weird how they lost touch, and seeing it now, it ached at her a bit. It ached at her enough to not notice the two empty chairs next to each other.

“Leigh!” Perrie’s cheery voice broke her out of her revere. She smiled and waved a bit before she made her way over.

“Holy shit, Leigh Anne fucking Pinnock!” Louis’ arms were already outstretched for her and she laughed softly as she hugged him, pressing a kiss to his cheek. “It’s been forever good looking.” He pulled out the chair next to him for her, laughing a bit. “Look at us guys. All grown up and shit. These fuckers are getting married.” He motioned his beer toward Perrie and Zayn, to which they smiled shyly, as if they haven’t been going on about it for months. “And we’re like… doing some shit to help out. Fucking great.” He tilted the beer bottle to his lips taking a long pull. She raised an eyebrow to how quickly he downed his beer, but she still couldn’t escape the fact that she was glad she was here.

“The line in the bathroom is complete shite.”

Or at least she was. She couldn’t help the way she looked up, green meeting chocolate, and immediately she regretted it. A smirk came upon his features and she fought every urge to roll her eyes. “Well look who it is.” If there was ever a moment where she wanted a hole to open up in the middle of the earth and just suck her in, now would be the perfect moment. “Long time no see.” He almost approached her for a hug but her hands slammed on the table.

“I need a drink. Perrie?” Perrie raised an eyebrow, but thankfully she wasn’t that thick and she picked up the empty glass that had been Zyan’s. Leigh smiled as she got up, letting the blonde hook her arm through hers as they went to the bar. “A high ball please.” She smiled at the bartender as he got to work and looked over to Perrie, realizing that the blonde was giving her a look. “What?”

“Nothing, you just… look amazing, as usual, but those shoes are not made for Maxies.” Leigh Anne looked down at her shoes, the Louboutin’s were Ainsley’s idea, and you never say no to them, but she toned it down with the shirt she was wearing, she didn’t think anyone would notice… ok she knew they would, but them coming across as a bad thing was something she didn’t expect. “Is something going on? I know I’ve been a bit much-” Understatement of the year. “But you can talk to me if you need to.” Leigh smiled at her friend as her drink was brought to her, and she almost felt bad for the secret that she had kept.

“I’m find Per. Just dressing up for the occasion.” She nudged her softly as she sipped from her glass. “Come on. Isn’t this about all of us?” she knew by Perries smile that she squashed the situation, and honestly, she wanted to. It was stupid to harp on about the past. Perrie went up to the bar, a grin on her face. “Can I get a round of shots to the back table please?” Perrie nudged her hips into Leighs and giggled. “This was the best idea ever.”
