Chapter 20

***Aaron's POV***

I just broke up with the love of my life. I'm so stupid! I heard screaming in the hall and raced out to see what was happening. Alexis was on the floor and Jen was crouched by her side crying. Taylor and Carter were on their phone probably calling 911.

"What the hell happened?" I asked running over to Alexis.

"The question is what the hell did you say to her..." Jen glared at me. "LEAVE!" she yelled pointing down the hall. I didn't leave, just stood there like a idiot.

"Ok, the lines are too busy. Pick her up Taylor, where driving to the hospital." Carter announced.

"Jen!" Amanda yelled. Amanda was holding a pill bottle that was empty.

"Oh no. Not this again." Jen started sobbing more. "Guys hurry!" she screamed to Carter and Taylor. They ran down the hall with Alexis in Taylor's arms.

***Jen's POV***

What the hell did Aaron say to her to make her overdose, again!? I remember clearly the first time she overdosed. She had just found out Jason had cheated on her we were on the phone and she randomly hung up in the middle of the conversation. I thought she might have accidentally hung up so I just waited for a few minutes. She hadn't responded and it had been 5 minutes since she hung up. I knew Alexis, 5 minutes is enough for something bad to happen. I jumped of my bed and literally ran down to my car. I flew through red lights to get to her house. I got a ticket, but I was happy I flew through those lights. I found Alexis laying on her bathroom floor out cold. I picked her up and drove as fast as I could to the hospital. I had gotten there just in time. They couldn't get her to throw up the pills so they pumped her stomach. That's why she has scars on her stomach. She promised all of us she would never do it again. She broke her promise but I didn't care. All I cared about was getting her to the hospital.

We arrived at the hospital and Taylor hopped out of the car and ran into the ER entrance. Carter followed. I sat in the car and cried. I saw Alexis and Aaron talking in the hall, but I didn't think it would come to this... I hope Aaron feels accomplished.

-2 hours later-

Elisa, Amanda, Mak had finally shown up. Alexis was still unconscious and it had been a few hours. I was sure we all looked like messes. Tear streaks on our faces, puffy eyes, red faces. We sat in silence in the waiting room. The doctor had finally shown up and we all stood.

"Bad news, we're going to have to pump her stomach again." He looked at us with a blank expression.

"Do whatever you need to to keep her alive." Amanda answered for us.

"It's going to take a while, from what we can see, she swallowed over 30 pills."

"Oh my god, Alexis." Elisa started balling.

"Ok, Thank you." I responded for them.

The doctor left and we all sat again. Taylor and Carter had left early to tell the rest of the boys what had happened.

"What happened?" Mak asked me with tears running down her face.

"I honestly don't know." I answered.

"Why would she do this again!?" Elisa asked standing up and pacing back and forth. We just sat in the waiting room in silence.

- 2 hours later -

They just finished pumping Alexis's stomach. Luckily she did great and she was in recovery. All the boys except Aaron were here. Which was probably good otherwise one of us girls would've beat him down.

"She's stable. You guys can now comeback to see her." The nurse told us. Me and the girls jumped up and ran to the door. The boys followed close behind. The nurse led us into the room Alexis was in. Just like last time she was laying in her bed watching tv.

"Oh my gosh." is all I could say. I stopped in my tracks and stared at my best friend. She started crying which made all us girls start crying.

***Alexis's POV***

They all ran in the room and I felt tears well up behind my eyes.

"Oh my gosh" Is all Jen said before she started crying. I know this was like reliving the past for the girls.

"Boy can you please leave?" Amanda asked. They nodded and left the room.

"Why? Why again?!" Jen asked staring straight into my eyes like Aaron did in the hall. Where was Aaron I didn't see him in the group.

"Where's Aaron?" I couldn't process what I was going to say so that cane out.

"Seriously, you almost died, and you want Aaron?!??" Elisa practically screamed.

"I need to talk to him. Get him here now!" They stared at each other as if agreeing and disagreeing.

"We'll call him." Mak spoke for them.

"Thank you." They walked out of the room not saying another word. They left the room and left me with my thoughts.
