Josiah's POV:

I had to go see Delilah. I knew that I still needed to apologize for what I had said the other day so after hanging out with Chelsea for a while I went to Delilah's. It was then that I got the idea of going on the double date. This way by seeing Delilah with another guy I'd be able to fully focus on Chelsea. It was perfect!

We had decided to go out to eat. We didn't plan to go somewhere fancy so we went to Round Table for some pizza. We were all going to meet up at around 4, so Chelsea had asked me to pick her up at 3:45.

I waited outside her house for her to come out. I had texted her five minutes ago that I was here. I was just about to call her when I saw her walk out and toward my car. She opened the door and sat down. Once she was situated she leaned over and gave me a peck on the lips.

"Hey babe."

"Hey."

She was wearing a hot pink sundress that ended above her knees with a white belt that went across her stomach. She had on white flats and her hair was slightly curled.

"You know we're only going to get pizza right?"

"There's nothing wrong with wanting to look nice."

I shrugged and drove to our destination.

When we got there Delilah and Logan were already there waiting for us. They were sitting down and they seemed like they were in a conversation. Delilah was wearing a gray t-shirt with black lines going down it and black jeans with matching gray converse. I know it wasn't much but I loved her simplicity. Even with her simple clothes she was still able to captivate me. Something about her made me want to draw closer to her. And it seemed like I wasn't the only one. Logan was staring at her intently, he seemed to hang on each word she said like it was important. She seemed so oblivious to the way he looked at her.

Once she saw me her eyes brightened with what I'm guessing was surprise. I mean what else could it be? Her smile grew and she stood up to make her way toward me but she stopped abruptly as she looked over at Chelsea. Her smile faded and she directed her attention to Logan. I could feel my own smile fade as I saw this.

I approached them and I shook Logan's hand while Chelsea and Delilah did the same. Chelsea introduced herself to Logan and the only people left to greet each other were Delilah and I.

We stared at each other not knowing what to do. I didn't know if I should hug her or if I should shake her hand. You know what I don't care she's just standing in front of me smiling oh so sweetly and I really want to.

Without a warning I stepped closer and hugged Delilah. I could feel her relax into my arms. I loved how perfectly she fit against my chest and I rested my head on hers. I shut my eyes just taking in the moment. Her hands gripped the back of my shirt as if she were to let go she would lose me. This only made me hold her tighter. In that moment it was only me and Delilah, every thing else just faded away. That is until I heard Logan cough awkwardly. I opened my eyes and realized that we had been hugging for quite a while. Delilah released me but I still had my hands on her. She looked down at them and I quickly removed them.

I stepped back and saw Logan looking between us suspiciously. He probably knew that there was something in that embrace. Chelsea was glaring at Delilah and Delilah was avoiding both of their gazes. And that was the first awkward moment of that date.

As the date went on it became less awkward. We were able to talk about random topics and we shared a few laughs. I wish I could still hate Logan but the truth is he seems like a really cool guy. It's obvious that he's already crazy about Delilah. Who could blame him? She just has something about her that makes you instantly love her. We hung out for a while and we finished two whole pizzas. What can I say we were hungry! We said our good byes and made our way to our cars. Chelsea an I went to my car and we sat down.

"What was that all about?" Chelsea asked as soon as we got in the car to leave.

"What do you mean?" I asked utterly confused.

"You mean you don't know what I'm talking about?" she asked in an irritated tone.

I shook my head in response which made her sigh an shut her eyes.

"You know what it doesn't matter can you just take me home?"

She seemed exhausted and fed up. I had no clue why she was like that. I don't think I did anything wrong. I mean other than the hug but after that I acted like normal. Delilah and I were telling Logan and Chelsea about some stories that we had went through years before. I don't see how that could be wrong.

"Did I do something wrong?"

"And the fact that you don't notice it is unbelievable."

Okay now I'm really confused.

"Don't notice what?"

"You know what it doesn't matter maybe it's just me and I'm overreacting."

"Overreacting about what Chelsea? Talk to me."

"It's nothing."

"Are you really not going to tell me?"

"Can we just forget about it?"

"No, I want to know if I did anything wrong. Talk to me I'm your boyfriend."

God sometimes she could be so irritatingly stubborn.

"You didn't act like it." she said quietly as she crossed her arms an turned away from me.

"What do you mean I didn't act like it?"

"Please just take me home and we can talk about this later."

This girl.

"Promise we'll talk about it later."

"Ugh fine." she said as she rolled her eyes.

It's hard to believe that this was the girl that I was madly in love with. She could be so obnoxious at times. I sighed and just decided to forget about it as I took her home.

I had a feeling that the next time I would bring it up, it wouldn't end well.
