Rydel’s POV

“What?” I said. By then my whole family was gathered around.

“I’m sorry I just can’t do it anymore.” He said. Tears were streaming down his face. I could tell he didn’t want this. I started to cry.

“But I thought you loved me?” I asked about to punch him in the face. I turned to my family. Riker was crying and ran out of the room.

“I thought I did until I realized I waited 5 years for you. I can’t wait and minute more.”

“Then lets not. Ellington say you’ll stay?”

“No Rydel not this time.”

“Please Ellington I need you.”

“That’s the thing I don’t need you.”

“What are you gonna do.”

“I am gonna go.”

“Where?”

“I don’t know but as far as I can get away from this death trap.” He started walking away. I grabbed his wrist and pulled him towards me. I looked him straight in his eyes. He looked down at the ground.

“Ellington, You can run. You can change your name. But if you walk away right now you are giving up what we have. What we created here is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I will not let you walk away. You can drowned I will find your body. You can shoot yourself I will find the weapon and join you in heaven. Just know that I will always be there.” I said tears were now streaming down his face.

“I love you to the end of the world and back and what you just said proves to me that I can’t handle what we've got.”

“Ellington, I just don’t understand.”

“Rydel, you shot yourself in the foot every time something as bad as a cat dying in Oregon. You always think it’s your fault. Where do I fit? I tried to wait but I can’t I love you too much to to wait.”

“I put you through so much pain! But you had to put me to my death bed. Cause I swear if you leave right now I will kill myself.”

“Then you are just gonna have to die. Goodbye my love.” He kissed my cheek and ran out the door.

“NO!!” I yelled my mom ran to my side. I fell to the ground. I looked back still no Riker. I need him. I noticed my dad was also gone. Please don’t hurt him.

“Why do you fight for such pain?” My mom asked

“Isn’t there pain in every relationship? You always tell me to fight for what I believe in. Well now I am.” I said crying

“Not this time. He hurt you.”

“No I hurt him. So it hurt me.” I got up and ran to my room. I ran in and Riker and my dad were sitting on my bed.

“Rydel I-” Riker said crying. My dad was looking at me

“GET OUT!!!” I yelled. He ran out of the room my dad stayed

“Rydel the pain of losing Ellington will fade.” my dad said

“Not if it was your whole life. The love that kept you alive.The one person who made you want to breath.” I said

“Well I hope that when it comes down to the end you know Riker is the one who is that person. Not Ellington.”

“LIES EVERYONE OF THEM!!!!!!! LIES!!!!!!”
