Chapter 9
Ellington’s POV
Rydel was asleep and I was trying to move her. I looked up and Riker was standing there holding a water bottle staring at me.
“Well hello there.” I said a bit curious on what he was doing.
“Hi. Tell me why you are trying to move from under my sister when she is in a deep sleep and quite frankly I am wondering why you guys aren’t planning a wedding?” Riker said
“Rydel didn’t tell you?” I asked
“Tell me what?” Riker said
“She doesn’t want to get married yet.”
“What? No! You have to get married!”
“We will but just not now.”
“I don’t care! The longer you wait the faster you drift apart and when you start to drift apart the band starts to break up and when that happens OUR WORLD COMES CRUMBLING DOWN UNDER OUR FEET ELLINGTON OUR FEET!!” Riker said holding onto my shirt.
“Dude you are freaking me out.”
“Sorry, I just I don’t want to see either of you get hurt.”
“Yeah….. Me either.”
“You ok?”
“Yeah.”
“BTW I want to wait in girl talk means are you sure you want to do this.”
“Thanks.” I felt like I was gonna cry. I suddenly let a tear fall. Riker put his water bottle down.
“You don’t want to wait do you?” Riker asked a bit concerned
“No. I love her more then anything in this world. What if you are right? What if we wait and we drift apart and soon enough she doesn’t want to marry me?” I was on the verge of crying.
“Look Ellington if she truly loves you your love will be forever.”
“Always?”
“Forever and Always”
“Thanks Rik.”
“No problem buddy.”
Riker walked upstairs. I looked down at Rydel I almost woke her up but she did on her own.
Rydel’s POV
I woke up on Ellington’s lap I looked up and her was staring at me with a tear stained face. I immediately sat up.
“Ellington? What’s wrong baby?” I asked
“Nothing.” He said. I could see the tears building in his eyes.
“Ell, What happened?”
“Really Delly. Nothing.”
“Ellington I know you better then the sky knows the wind. I know you better then a tree knows the dirt. What is wrong?”
“I’m sorry.”
“What are you talking about?”
“I-I Can’t wait.”
“Wait for what?”
“For you to be ready.”
“Ellington I know that this is hard but-” He cut me off
“I need to know you will stay.”
“What?”
“Say you’ll stay.”
“Ell of course I will.”
“Then that is why I have to do this.”
“What?”
“Rydel Mary Lynch I am breaking up with you.”
