Rydel’s POV

It’s been two weeks since I came home late and Ellington freaked. I looked at the time. 1 am! Dang it!! I looked at the door since Ellington hasn’t come home yet. He went for a doctors appointment at 6:30 PM I am worried.

The door opened and Ellington had tear stained cheeks.

“Baby..” I said and got up from the couch and ran to him.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” He said

“Ellington it’s 1 you left at 6:30. Where were you?”

“At the doctor’s.”

“For 6 and a half hours?”

“Yep.”

“Ell what happened?”

“My ankle is gonna need another month. Delly we are gonna have to wait another month.”

“Ellington I don’t see the big deal about you having a cast?”

“I will look horrible.”

“Since when have you cared?”

“Since I started dating you and you always look flawless! I look like a freak!”

“No you don’t!! Stop saying that.”

“I can’t help it!”

“Here’s the deal. I love you for your personality the way you act the way you treat people. How you treat kids like they are more than kids. You more than any of us you treat the fans like family. And most of all I never liked you for the way you dress. You may be adorable. But that doesn’t matter to me as much!”

“The problem is that you have everything going right for you. Well not me. I may have you and I may be adorable. But I have a broken leg and my parents have been fighting for a while now. I am scared Rydel. Stupid right?” Ellington said (Parent thing is made up)

“No it’s not stupid. It’s normal.”

“You can even make people feel better without trying.”

“Ellington give yourself a break. Get some sleep. Or think all night. But I need to go to bed. Are you gonna go too?”

“I think I am gonna head back to my parents and sleep there.”

“Ok.”

“Good night delly.”

“Good night Ell.”

“I love you.”

“Forever and always.” I said

Ellington left and I went upstairs. I looked out my bedroom window and saw him punch the light post. It was pouring rain. I ran out of my room out the door and to Ellington outside who was still punching the light post and crying.

“ELLINGTON STOP IT!!” I yelled and grabbed his fist.

“Pain…….. Pain.” He said

“What are you talking about?”

“RYDEL I……… I HATE THIS!!”

“HATE WHAT!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING WITH YOU??”

“I HATE MY ANKLE MY FIST FOR PUNCHING THIS STUPID POST AND MY HEART FOR LOVING TWO PEOPLE AT THE SAME TIME!!!!”

“What?” I let go of his fist.

“I love you. I love Kelly.”

“What???”

“I’m so sorry.”

“Ellington. What happened to you?”

“I walked into the hospital and Kelly was on a stretcher. She got into a horrible accident and died (NOT REAL!!!) thats what took me so long. I miss her so much and I love her as a friend but I’m so confused. With life and family and you!!”

“Ellington why did you lie?”

“I was afraid to tell you the truth so I made up the another month thing.”

“I can’t believe this. Why didn’t you call me?”

“I didn’t want you to think I still love her.”

“YOU JUST SAID YOU DID ELLINGTON!!!”

“I SAID I WAS CONFUSED!!!!”

“YEAH I AM TOO!!!”

“ABOUT WHAT? WHAT DO YOU POSSIBLY CONFUSED ABOUT!!”

“THIS MARRIAGE!!! ELLINGTON YOU NEED TO PULL IT TOGETHER!!!”
