The night sky was as black as oblivion as Elle made her way through the winding back roads of rural South Georgia. The rain had been falling in sheets for over an hour and did not appear to be letting up any. The ditches were overflowing into the road making control of her vehicle harder than ever. The radio had long since died, the stations fading out due to the storm. All of a sudden lightning lit up the sky brighter than the middle of the day, but it was too late for her to dodge the giant puddle in the middle of the road. She immediately felt her tires lose their grip on the road as she began to spin 360, 720 degrees. She jerked the wheel trying to stop the vicious spinning, only to send the car careening sideways into a ditch. As the car came to rest on the driver's door she saw her life flashing before her eyes and the only thing she could think was, "This is it. This is how I'm going to die."
