In so happy you all seem to be enjoying this shit that for some reason exists in my brain. I just want you to know I go to school with and Andrew and Briar and that's what the story was modeled after and now every time I see them I see them kissing.
--------------------Andrew
"Andrew! Get your ass up and help me make dinner!" I jolt awake and start flailing my arms in a desperate attempt to gain my bearings. I still ended up on the floor in a tangle of blankets. When my eye sight clears up I notice an arm hanging off the edge of the bed and I smile.
Briar had gotten 'cold' and creeped into the bed at sometime last night. I can still feel his chest pressed up against my back and his arms wrapped around my waist. I sigh in bliss. What did I do to deserve this?
The beautiful blue eyes of my, dare I say, boyfriend are what I see when I shake myself of my thoughts. I smile up at him and he reaches his arm to my face to rest his hand on my cheek.
"You know your on the floor." He states while stroking my face. I snort and untangle the blankets, getting up off the floor and pulling Briar up with me. I turn around and press my bare back against his shirtless chest and wallow in the warmth. We soon start rocking back and forth to a song only we can hear. He reaches up, still holding my hand, and spins me around. I laugh and he smiles, soon pulling me back to his chest and dips me. I stare up at his face before leaning in and tasting the cherry and chocolate taste that is Briar.
He pulls back and I give a moan in protest. Our mouths are both still open and we are mixing breath. I lean back in and peck his lips before swiftly existing his arms to go get dressed.
After throwing on a shirt and some comfy sweats, I instruct briar to do the same and then I'm leading his down to the giant kitchen/dinning room where we will be cooking all day for Thanksgiving dinner tonight. When we enter the first thing I see is my dad sitting at the table reading the morning paper. I then see my mother mixing some thing in a bowl and humming a tune to herself.
She turns around and gives us a pointed look that clearly says 'get to work or one of you will sleep on the living room couch'. Briar and I soon get to work on making noddles and potatoes.
"Hand me the noodles," I motion at the hard pieces of flour still in the packaging. Briar hands them to me and I dump them into the boiling pot of water.
"Can you cook, Briar?" I hear mom ask.
"A bit," can Briar's modest response.
"If by a bit you actually mean like a 5 star chef then yeah, a bit." I add in my two since to the conversation. Mom gives him a look at hands him a can of pumpkin pie filling. Briar looks at it in disgust.
"Do you have any real pumpkins?" He asked. Mom looks questioning before answering.
"Yes but it is quite difficult to make pumpkin pie from scratch. Are you sure your up for it?" Briar nods and she smiles before heading out to get a pumpkin or two.
By the time Briar starts one his pumpkin pies, the noodles are done and out on the counter. I then sit by and watch as Briar sets into some type of trance. I gawk at him as he cuts, peals, and mixes all of the ingredients together before spreading them into a store bought crust, which I can tell he was reluctant to do. He quickly puts the pies in the oven before joining me and my father at the table.
About sixty games of Stix and Rock Paper Scissors, which he won the majority of, they pies were out of the oven and cooling on the stove top. The delicious smell of pumpkin pie fills the kitchen and I take a breath and let it out in a sigh.
At some point during my momentary lapse, my mother had turned on the radio and the song Demons by Imagine Dragons comes on and I start to sway in my seat and singing to the words.
A sudden tug on my hand makes me open my eyes. Briar is then pulling me up and over to the open space in the dinning room. He puts his hands on my hips and I wrap my arms around his shoulder and we start to dance. Swaying back and forth, I stare into his blue eyes and he stares into my green eyes.
"You know, your eyes have a lot of gold flecks in them." I say lowly. He chuckles a little and spins us around.
"I don't hear that very often. People don't really get that close to my face to tell."
I smile at him and he twirls me around like he did this morning.
"I can't escape this now, unless you show me how!" I sing along with the words. I can't help but think of how accurate the song is. I wonder what would have happened to me if I would have stayed with Paige?
I shake my head.
This is a place for happy thoughts and delightful feelings.
