Indigo looked around through the room they were in. A lot of drawers, and buttons, and lights.. Was this a control room? He turned to Gibson. "I'm sure they'll be something of use in here.. But first we need to make sure that nobody gets in." Gibson nodded and propped a chair up against the door and turned to Indigo. "Good?" He nodded. "Yes, now let's find something. Like a disguise or-" Gibson opened a drawer. "..Or guns."
Indigo's eyes widened. "Guns..?"
Gibson pointed at the drawer and Indigo walked over to see a pair of Dual Berettas in the drawer, as well as some clips. He shook a little. "Look.. I- I don't know. Even throwing that soda was hard for me, you know..?"
Gibson laughed. "Now now Indigo, don't worry about any aftermath. The world's about to end. Take any step you want. If not, then I'll shoot them. They're gonna die anyways, at least it won't be fiery for them."
Indigo paused. He was right.. At least- Wait- he was putting a lot of trust into this- thing.. But after the last day it almost felt right. Hey, he felt game for a little stress relieving.
"Okay, but I want those pistols."
Gibson scoffed. "These are hand rubbed Dual Berettas! If you had PISTOLS you'd miss every time. Now you see, the difference is-"
"Ok, I get it!"
Gibson searched through the cabinets and found nothing else of real use.
Just an army of policemen versus Gibson and Indigo, armed with two guns and half a bottle of Crystal Pepsi.
Gibson sighed and snatched one of the pistols out of Indigo's hand. "Well, they might not be exactly DUAL anymore but we both need to be safe. We won't split up, we just want to get out. Understood?"
Indigo nodded, and they removed the chair. The door slowly opened, and Indigo and Gibson exited. Nobody around yet, the hallway was empty. Almost silent. "Only shoot if you have to, don't want to cause a scene and we only have a couple clips." Gibson whispered. Indigo nodded. "So you just pull it back and..?" Gibson sighed. "Yes, and then you pull the trigger. It shouldn't be that hard."
The two slowly traced through the hall, their footsteps imprinting the sound surrounding them. Every cell member just watched in awe as the two walked through the hall, not wanting to be the victim of anything. Just then, the door opened in front of them and out stepped two guards. They looked at Indigo and Gibson for a second before raising their batons. "We have two escapees-" The first didn't manage to finish his sentence before he was shot through the chest, the bullet echoing on the wall after piercing the man's flesh with ease. He collapsed to the ground. The other guard put his hands up and dropped the baton. Indigo and Gibson walked past him through the door, Gibson patting him on the back as they did so. "You live."They trekked onwards, Indigo shaking. Gibson rested his hand on Indigo's shoulder. "It's gonna be ok, we haven't had much trouble yet-" Just then the two were surrounded by four guards, armed with a little more than a baton.
"Oh no, they have a gun like we have a gun!" Indigo whined. But Gibson laughed. "Stay completely still and you won't get hit. They're using pistols, remember? You watch a movie and they'll hit everyone like one, two three. These guys- They'll miss every time. Doesn't matter how close you are, they'll miss every time." He turned to the guards. "Go ahead, SHOOT ME!"
The guards raised their weapons and shot, but no harm came to either of the two. It was as if they didn't have any bullets at all.. Gibson proceeded to taunt them. "Go ahead, again! AGAIN!" Eventually, every guard was out of bullets and pulled out their batons. "..Is that supposed to scare me?" The guards paused for a moment and realized they had no chance, and raised their hands. Gibson laughed and tried to open the door, but it was locked. "Hey- any of you have a keycard for this?" One of the guards nodded. He began to reach down for it and before he did, Indigo shot him. Gibson groaned as all the other guards flinched. "Indigo, what did you do?" He trembled. "I- I don't know! He moved!" Gibson rolled his eyes and took the now blood smeared key card out of the man's pocket and used it on the door, the other guards watching on in horror. Gibson turned to face them before he left. "Oh- by the way, your world's going to end any second now. Don't blame me!"
The two reached the final stretch, the front desk. They begun to sneak past the woman at the front desk, before hearing "HEY!" The two slowly turned around in fear, only to find the woman. "Who're you two?" Indigo put his hands in his pockets. "We were visiting my dad." She laid back in her chair. "Oh, ok! Cool costumes by the way, the blood looks so real!" Indigo looked down to realize that his lower half was covered in blood from the two guards killed. He nodded. "Oh- Oh yeah! Thanks!" The two waved goodbye to her and realized they didn't have the car keys, along with all the items in their pockets. They didn't have much when they were taken, but they needed the keys. "Hey- I was wondering if I could have my dad's keys- I have to get home!" She paused for a moment before opening her drawer. "Which ones?" Indigo peered over the desk, smearing blood over the top of it. "O- Oh these ones! Thank you!" She nodded. "Goodbye kiddos!" The two left the building and got to the car. Gibson smiled. "You're really good at lying." Indigo smiled back. "Thanks, it was the least I could do." The two of them hopped into the car and began driving to finish what they started...Getting off earth.
