I've Missed You

I dreaded this day, the day I would have have to go back to my home town, it was fun in DC but my promotion ended so I would now I have to return to the law firm back in Rosewood. I will be staying at Emily's for now as I had to sell my house there to afford a big enough apartment in DC for me and my daughter, Lily. I am partially excited, because I want Lily to meet her aunts, but I am for the most part nervous, this is all because of one person.

Hours later

It feels weird to be here, I mean I grew up here but I feel like an alien after 5 years. I stared out the window of Emily's car trying to remember all the streets as Lily was resting on my lap.

"Excited to be back" Emily said while glancing back at me while driving

"Yeah, I guess" I responded still looking out the window and stroking Lily's hair

"Well I know all the girls are excited to see you and meet your little one"

"Hahahah yeah, Hanna keeps telling me she is going to turn Lily into a model"

"Oh typical Hanna, so all the girls are meeting up at the Brew for lunch is that ok?"

"Yep, that's perfect" I responded as Emily pulled up in her driveway

We unloaded our bags as Lily ran into the house so excited. "Wow, this place is so big!!" She exclaimed while running around in circles

"So your bedroom is just upstairs and to your left and Lily's room is the room to the right of yours" Emily said as we tried to push up heavy boxes up the stairs.

When we finished pushing up the boxes and I started to unpack Lily's clothes in her room. Emily guided Lily to her room. "I get my own room!!" I hear Lily exclaim, I couldn't help but chuckle to myself

"Yeah, your Aunt Hanna designed the room" Emily responded

"Thank you, thank you, thank you Aunt Emily" Lily said as she hugged Emily tightly. Lily's room was beautiful it had a pink curtain hanging around her bed, a small garland of lanterns along her wall, a mini desk with tins full of coloured pencils and there was a wall of old photos from high school and photos of Lily as a baby.

I walk into my room excited to see what Hannah did to it and my eyes straight away just stare at the 4 photos she hung on the wall. They was a photo of the 4 of us in high school, a photo of the 5 us a couple years later, a big group photo with the girls and their boyfriends and a photo of me in DC I sent them. I just stared at the photo where my head is buried into Toby's chest. I cry a little to myself, I miss him. . .

Later that day

I sat at the Brew with Emily and Lily waiting for the other girls. I started to take a sip of my coffee as Aria walked in. "Spencer!! Oh I missed Team Sparia" she exclaimed as her arms flung open to give me a hug

"Hahaha, I did too" I responded pointing to Lily "This is Lily"

"Hi Sweetie"

"Hello, who are you?"

Aria chuckles to herself "I'm Aunt Aria"

"Oh you're Aunt Aria, where is Aunt Ali and Aunt Hanna?"

"Coming soon darling"

Ali and Hanna arrived and both gave me a hug while they exclaimed how much they missed me. We all sat down and they told me what had happened.

"Oh and thanks Han for designing the rooms they look great"

"No problem, designing clothes and designing rooms are basically the same" She responded as we all laugh "So you saw the photos on the wall?"

"Uhh yeah"I responded still thinking of the photo with Toby and I

"I know that face"

"What?!?"

"You are thinking of him"

"Who?"

"Toby. . ."

"No, he's probably moved on and has like a family or something. Can we just change the topic please"

Hours later

I placed Lily asleep as I joined Emily
downstairs to watch a movie, The Notebook. As they started to kiss all I could think about is Toby and how much I miss him and his lips
