I've Missed You - Part 5

Spencer POV

"What? What are you talking about?" I said stuttering as my eyes watered up

"Spence, I know an engagement ring when I see one. I mean there is one on my finger"

"Can we go somewhere privater. Please" I said almost sobbing, placing the ring into the front pocket of my bag

"Okay" She replied rubbing her hand on my back

We hopped into her car and drove to Hanna and Caleb's house. The whole car ride was silent with Hanna occasionally glancing over to me to check if I was okay. I just gave her small smiles to reassure her.

Even the couple minutes it took for Hanna to find her keys and unlock her house were silent. We both sat on opposite sides of the coffee table, staring at the carpet. It was so silent we heard the wind play with the curtains.

"Are you going to tell me what that was or-" Hanna said

"I will, I will but I just never thought I would have to tell this story to anybody. So it was our 5th year anniversary and he proposed. It was all amazing and beautiful. But a couple weeks after I started to feel nauseous, I went to the doctors to check if everything was alright. And it wasn't. I am unable to have children. That's also why I adopted Lily because I've always wanted a child. Even the rare occasion of me getting pregnant, it would most likely lead into a miscarriage. Weeks later he brought up the topic of having children and I collapsed. I explained to him what had happened months ago and he understood. He said that I shouldn't have kept this from him but he ultimately understood, or so I thought. After our talk I fell asleep and he left to some coworker's birthday. That's when I decided for all the girls to meet up at your house. I remember though that Aria wasn't with us because Ezra had just broken it off with her and she took the break up pretty hard. When I came back home from our little girl's night, I found him drunk with a girl on top of him at our house. I ran out but I never returned the ring" I explained in tears

"Was it Toby that proposed?" Hanna asked

"Yeah, yeah it was. I found the ring in my coat , I realised that it was the same coat I wore when I found him with that girl. What I have realised now is that he in fact didn't understand what I was going through. What's weirder is that he said I left, I don't think he knows that I know he cheated"

"Spencer I am so sorry. And no it wasn't okay for him to do that" She said as she went to give me a hug

"It's not your fault Han" I said giving her a small smile "I don't know why but when I came back I still wanted to be with him. Toby might of broken my heart but he is the only thing that can fix me"

"Oh hun" She said as we hugged tightly

Caleb POV

I walked into the house, I knew Hanna was home from her lunch with her friends. I was about to open my mouth when I heard Hanna speak

"Are you going to tell me what that was or-" Hanna said. I walked towards the living room area but I didn't make a sound. I stood near the entrance of the living room area to see who she was talking to.

Before I turned the corner I heard another voice. Spencer's. I decided it would be best for them to think I wasn't home. I didn't want to interrupt any 'girl talk'.

I stuck around and listened to Spencer's story. I am going to kill Toby. I am closest to Spencer out of all the other girls besides Hanna. (Spaleb didn't happen) I consider her one of my best friends. She was there when Hanna and I broke up. She was actually there for both of us. I feel so bad for her. The girl that loves everyone and takes care of everyone has no one to take care or love her.
