Spencer POV
I was so excited!!! My baby's first day of school. . . She is so adorable. She looks exactly like Toby just one of the reasons I love her so much, he doesn't know about her though. . .

Toby POV
I don't know whether to be nervous or excited. . . I start my first teaching job for kindergarten today. I asked Ezra for tips and all he said was don't hook up with your students which I don't think I will be as they are all 5 years old, yeah Fitz gives the best advice

I walk into class and start to take attendance, I surprised none of these kids are crying for their parents except one little girl. She is so adorable, she actually looks like a mini version of me which obviously would be adorable. She hugs me tight and tells me all about how she misses her mum. I think I am going to really like this job, I've always liked kids but that's a touchy subject for me as Spencer's miscarriage broke our relationship. I really miss Spencer, I haven't talked to her in ages nor seen her but I am scared that she has this millionaire boyfriend now, that her parents actually like.

I ask what this little girls name is, she says the name that make my heart shatter and my head dizzy. Through her cries she says "Lily Rose Hastings" I freeze, she moved on. . . Or it may be Melissa's child . . . Or Veronica's???

Hours later
I am so anxious now, I am determined to see who is Lily's mum. . . I am just scared it's Spencer. A few parents stop me on my way out so by the time I got out Lily is gone. Of course. . . A Hasting is never late.

Lily's POV
I really like my teacher, he has this cools dip in his chin that is fun to play with. When I was getting picked up all my friends had a mum and a dad picking them up . . . Where's my dad?

"Mum?"

"Yes sweetie"

"Do I have a dad?" I ask nervously

My mum sighs then replies "Yes"

"Why have I never met him?"

"I don't know where he is sweetie, anyway how was school?"

"Good, I really like my teacher he is so funny and nice"

"What's his name"

"Uhhh Mr Cavanaugh"

"Oh, well he seems lovely"

Spencer POV
I can't believe my ears . . . Cavanaugh, he is the name that makes my heart flutter and my body warm. I really want to meet him but I also don't as he probably has a supermodel girlfriend, I mean look at him.

Days Later

Spencer POV
It's parent teacher interviews today and honestly I doubt that Lily's teacher is Toby. He loved being a police officer so I doubt that he'd give up his job. Maybe Daniel (Toby's father, Idk if they gave Toby's father a name on the show) got a teaching job or Lily could've just got the name wrong.

I arrived at the school and picked up Lily, we waited as we were the first ones for interviews. I sat down near the classrooms and I was obviously 5 minutes early, I am such a Hastings I though to myself. I gave Lily my phone to occupy her as I waited for her teacher. As the teacher came out to greet us, our eyes met and my heart melted. . .

"Spencer . . ."
