The Secret - Part 3

Toby POV
As I saw Spencer leave the room, I felt betrayed. I felt lonely. I felt like Spencer when I left her. I left her. I am so stupid. I was about to run after her but I had one more parent to see.

"Hi Mrs. Morgan . . ." I said as the last parent walked into for their interview

20 minutes later

"Ok thank you Mr. Cavanaugh" Mrs. Morgan said as she stood up and took her son's hand.

"Ok bye Mrs. Morgan and bye Tommy" I said as they left

I picked up all my stuff and I took it into my car as I was packing my car I saw a sight that breaks my heart. Spencer crying. And Lily. As I approach the car and thought "If only I didn't leave her, we could be happy. She could be happy" I knocked on the window and they both lifted their heads revealing red, puffy,stained eyes.

"Spence. . ." I said as I looked her into eyes

"Toby. . ." She replied as she tried to wipe her eyes

"Are you ok?" I said as she just stared at me

"I"m- uhhh fine" she replied just looking down avoiding my eyes

"No you aren't Spence, I mean look at you"

"Why don't we just tell him? Mummy???" Lily said tugging on Spencer's arm

"Lily now is not the time" Spencer said

"Mummy" Lily said tugging her arm harder

"No Lily"

"Please mum"

"Please Lily just stop, I can't do this"

"Ok but please just tell him soon"

"I will Lily, I will I promise"

"Spence,what is is going on?" I said as Lily looked at me

"Lily-is yo-ur daughter-" Spencer said as she looked at Lily. My heart stopped. But I all of a sudden started smile.

"Lily?" I said as she jumped into my arms and I cradled her tightly.

"Daddy" Lily said as she cried into my jacket

"Yes daddy" I said as I hugged her tighter

Right at that moment I pictured Spence, Lily and I as a family and all I wanted to do was live in that picture. Spencer is the only one for me, yeah Tori was sweet but she was no Spencer. I love Spencer that's the biggest difference.

As I was about to pull away I felt Spencer's arms join our hug and I let her in. I placed my hand on her back as a way to reassure her that I am here and I will never leave again. I realise that I never stopped loving her and I think I will never stop. As we all pulled away we all had big smiles plastered on our faces. I immediately pulled out my phone because I had to make a call that would change my life for the better

"Tori. . . Hey"

"Hey babe, what's up?"

"I'm good but I need to tell you something"

"Yeah"

"I- wan-t to break up"

"What?!?"

"It's not you, it's just I found out I have a daughter with the love of my life and I can't wait to start a family with her"
