It's the day everyone has been waiting for. It's also been a while since I had been part of the Kuchiki Clan. I excel in everything that they taught me. I've learned how to act properly, think like a Kuchiki and look like a real aristocrat.
I was in my room and maids helped me fix my kimono. I felt a little comfortable already than before. I have been wearing expensive kimonos since I entered the clan.
"Eri-hime, you're so pretty!"
"This hairpin and kimono complements your hair very well."
I don't wear my eyepatch anymore since everyone seemed to accept my appearance.
These maids are my favorite. Hasumi and Michiyo. They always help me and are very sincere and dedicated of taking care of me.
I looked outside the window and saw many people outside the manor. "This is a big event for the clan. Do your best, Eri-hime." They said and the door slid open.
"Byakuya-sama?" They startled after fixing my kimono.
"Ri-chan...." Byakuya called and I felt little embarrass. He has never seen me dress so elegant and he blushed. He walked closer and put his hands in my shoulder. "You look so beautiful."
I stared at him he looks dreamy as always. Then I diverted my eyes to the window where the crowd is gathered. Other Kuchiki members are also in the crowd. I'm scared of making a mistake.
"Don't get nervous. Just hold my hand when you're scared and I promise you I won't let go" I was rest assured hearing those words from my oniichan.
"Awwww. You guys are so sweet." The maids spoke in the corner and Byakuya glared at them.
I guess he's not really good with other people, eh?

It was already time to step out of the manor.
Standing behind the big doors makes my heart race. I held my hand tighter just so I could feel that I'm still alive.
I heard the elders call my name and soon the doors open.
The sun gave my hands the warm welcome and I was back to myself. Almost myself, I guess. I walked toward the spot where Ginrei-sama and Byakuya-nii were standing. They looked so respectable. Byakuya looks serious as ever.
Is he also nervous? As I walked closer to them. Right after I stopped beside him. His face softened and flash that warm smile. I couldn't lift my cheeks because of fright. He held my hand, smiled and looked at the crowd. I could feel my heart slow down a bit and I smiled at the crowd.
With that instant, the crowd grew wild. They cheered and threw flower petals at us. Some were clapping their hands others were shouting for me, Byakuya and Ginrei-sama.

Years pass by and I was used to be held by the hand with Byakuya. Even back when I was enrolled at the Soul Academy.
I was actually the youngest in the class. But despite the age gap, both me and Byakuya excel among them. Byakuya and I were in the same class and he never lets go of my hand. We would walk around the hallway and go home together holding each other's hands.
I always feel safe whenever Byakuya holds my hands. I don't have to feel scared or terrified by things that bother me
Other shinigamis call us twins because we're always together and almost think alike. Byakuya was my voice and though he was always sweet and warm to me, to others, he was stern and cold. Sometimes a snob especially to girls.
