Byakuya and I were spending our afternoon nap under a tree inside the manor. Actually, it was just Byakuya who was sleeping. I was awake the whole time brushing his hair and watching him as he sleep.

I gave Byakuya a kiss on his forehead and as I sat back. He opened his one eye and gave me that sly smile of his. In my embarrassment, I covered my face as I ran away from Byakuya.

"Ri-chan, I was just kidding around. Come on! Don't runaway from me like that." He cried but I hear him chuckle. I wanted to bury myself underground.

After several minutes, I've calmed down but I'm still unsure on how to react when I see Byakuya right then and there.

Something caught my attention and I decided to climb a tree while Byakuya was not on sight.

"Ri-chan, don't! you'll fall!" Just as Byakuya shouted the branch I was holding onto broke.

Oh no! She must not let out a scream! Byakuya thought

I am aware of what could happen so I immediately covered her mouth till I landed softly on something.

It was Byakuya's back.

"Ri-chan, are you alright?" Byakuya asked and I burst into tears while covering my mouth. I bury my face in Byakuya's kimono."You're safe now, Ri-chan." Byakuya said as he patted my head.

I wiped my tears away and held onto Byakuya's hand. "That's right, Ri-chan. Just hold on to my hand and i'll never let you go. I promise to keep you safe."

Just as I had recovered from tears, I started pointing on to the tree. And right after Byakuya realize what I was pointing to, he painted a long face.

........It was a black cat lying from a branch on a tree I was climbing

I looked at him wondering what could be wrong.

"Is that why you climb the tree?" Byakuya asked with a stern look on his face. I nodded with a witty smile.

"That's Yoruichi-san" He stated and grabbed my arm away from the tree. "Let's get you cleaned up"

He's named a cat? But this is the first time I've seen that cat in the mansion.

Ever since that incident Byakuya has been cold to me. I kept wondering what went wrong after seeing that cat. Was it really because of the cat? I wonder.

Days passed by and Byakuya seemed to be distant to me. He rarely speaks to me. I caught him one time staring at me. He looked so down. He seemed not himself lately.

Every time I approach him, he ignores me or sometimes avoids me. I keep pushing myself to him but he always pushes me away with his cold look. I became very depressed seeing how he treats me now.

The next day, I still haven't pulled myself together. I couldn't look at Byakuya. Tears will just rush down my face with the sight of him.

I can't believe we're ignoring each other. I never thought this day would come. She hasn't laid a sight on me. What's gotten into her? Byakuya thought and looked at me coldly.

It seemed like I was taking down notes wearing a gloomy face. The class ended and I remained in my seat till Byakuya steps out in the room first.

"Eh, Eri-kun? Are you alright?" The boy seated next to me asked with distress look.

I gave him a phony smile. "Have you gotten into a fight with Byakuya-san?" He continued. I averted my eyes and tried to hold on to my tears. I grabbed my notebooks, squeezed them tight and ran out the room as tears rush down my cheek.
