I woke up in a cozy room. It was too big for little girl like me. I don't feel cold anymore.

I turned my head to one side and discovered there was still daylight. Maybe it's still morning or early afternoon. I really couldn't tell. I was cleaned up and my clothes were changed.

As I sat up, I noticed an old man with long white hair sitting not far from me. His eyes were closed. Could he be sleeping? It was my chance to escape until I found out that my hands were....

.....Bound.

How could they treat me like I'm a wild animal

"You're unpredictable. If you're thinking why we decided to bind you, that is" He informed me as he opened his eyes and fixed on mine.

Was he able to read my mind?

"I can't read minds. If you're wondering" He continued and his cold eyes were scary as ever.

"We had to bind you as precaution. And you will stay here until you learn how to control your power." His cold words echoed in the room as he stood up and left the room.

I couldn't bear the thought of being alone, bound and unprotected.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" I screamed and I felt the same fire burn inside me out of me.

The days and nights passed by like years for me. I wanted to break free! And then I thought...

I'll just walk away from here. I don't need that flame to escape. I just need to get out of this manor.

I waited for the day to come to an end. I ate the meal that was served to me that day. I usually ignore it but I need enough energy to make an escape with my bare foot.

There was silence in the manor.

I stood up and slid the door open. I was surprised how big their garden was. The moon was brighter than usual that night. It was perfect for my escapade.

I started running away from the room until I saw a beautiful cherry blossom tree. It's petals danced as the wind blew them away from their branch

Just then, I saw a young boy with white kimono just across the garden. He was holding a wooden sword, much like he was practicing.

His long black hair was ponytailed behind. He was such a hard worker for a boy that age. Staying late at night just to practice his swordsmanship. He had the same cold eyes and face like the old man back there. And then it came to me. He was the boy I saw in the forest before.

And there, I notice a long silver blade. It was a real sword. I was once again scared.

He became aware of my presence and glared at me.  The same cold eyes the old man gave me. I felt fear and started screaming.

He's going to kill me. With those eyes, I know he will kill me. "Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" I cried so hard that my binds broke and I fell down on my knees in exhaustion.

I calmed down knowing that I'm free. With tears on my eyes, I made a smile and looked at my hands.

I started running with the pink petals that were blown toward me.... It was such a lovely sight when the petals..... cut through me.
