Sloppy Seconds
Me and Justin sat down at the table to eat the blueberry pancakes he had made us. I didn't know he can cook because they were delicious.
"Are they good?" Justin chuckled before he continued to stuff his face. I smiled not showing teeth because my mouth was full. I actually enjoy Justin's company rather than Jason's of course.
After we finished we put our plates in the sink and I began to wash them since Justin cooked. "Oh I see she cleans?" Justin fake gasps, leaning against the counter next to the sink
"Indeed she does. " I laughed shaking my head. I wish Jason would be like this because maybe them I would be able to stand him but that wasn't the case. Jason was the mean, ruthless, controlling twin that I happen to unfortunately date in the past.
"What's on your mind?"
I turned off the sink as I felt Justin's hot breath hit my neck taking me out of thoughts. I didn't want to tell him I was thinking about his brother.
I turned around to face him, in that moment it was only then I realized how close we were. His hazel eyes stared down into mine which also switched to my lips every few seconds.
I was lost for words. I was in a unfamiliar situation I didn't know how to act. I just kept staring at his eyes as he did the same until I saw his face slowly coming closer.
Our connection was broken before anything further could happen when we both backed up hearing the front door open, Jason was home.
He came into the kitchen holding a bouquet of red roses. I furrowed my eyebrows trying to figure out what he was up to mean while Justin just watched holding an unreadable expression.
"Baby I wanted to apologize for what happened earlier, I was just in a mood. " Jason spoke softly coming closer to me as I back up to the sink trying to avoid from being close to him.
I nodded not knowing what to say because I didn't forgive him, not when he was about to hit me for leaving because he was occupied with another women. "You know I love you right?" He asked softly rubbing his thumb on my cheek as he stood dangerously close like Justin did only a few minutes ago.
Remembering Justin I looked at him only to find he watching, examining my every move while I was near Jason. Was it because he was still looking after me or because he wanted to see if I would kiss Jason? I had no idea.
Jason's thumb stopped in place bringing me back to the moment. He stood there waiting for my answer I had yet given.
"No Jason, I don't know that." I stated truthfully. I didn't believe he did because you don't hurt the people you love. You don't threaten their parents or force them to do something they don't want to do.
He sighed grabbing my chin bringing me closer to his face so close that I could feel his cold minty breath on my lips. "I love you Kylie, the love never went away." He stated staring in my eyes but before he was about to close the little gap that was left he was interrupted by, Justin.
"So where'd your little friend go?" Justin smirked crossing his arms. Jason rolled his eyes cursing under his breath before turning to face Justin. I knew Justin was up to something because remembering about the girl last night made me feel awkward that I let Jason this close.
"I told her to leave, why did you want to have a turn? You were always the one to have the sloppy seconds." Jason responded back catching Justin off guard.
"So keep your distance from my future wife." Jason spat in a serious tone before placing the flowers on the counter and walking away. I looked at Justin to find him doing the same. I dipped my gaze away and grabbed the flowers before leaving the kitchen.
