III:The Phone Call discussing of Return

A child giggling merrily was running giddily in the park.

His mother was calling after him, shouting
at him to be careful, and that he might trip, but running after him with a smile on
her face.

"Aladdin! Come back here! You might get hurt!"

The child merely laughed breezily in response,"I won't,mama! Now catch me!"

He ran even faster and the mother sighed, exasperated, but ran after the child anyway.

Finally catching up to him, and hugging him behind his back with a huge bear hug,

"Caught you, you cheeky, little runaway!"

The child gasped, and giggled as it tried to wriggle out of his mother's hold.

"No!,' He whined out,'You caught me!"

She smiled and pecked his cheek,"I'm sure you're hungry after all that running, how about we go eat the food we brought, hmm?"

He stopped wriggling and smiled,"Okay! Now,' he made an adorable attempt to climb onto her back, to which she giggled to and helped him up,'Onward to the picnic basket!"

The mother-and-son duo laughed as they cheerily went to set up their little picnic.

He sighed, it has been six years.

SIX. whole. FRICKIN. years.

Ever since he helped Sheba run away, and she didn't call, not even once.

He was starting to give up hope, but he knew she would never break a promise and lie to him like that.

She was a man---err, woman of her word.

But still, who could blame his doubting when he had been waiting for six years for
a sign.

The others had been livid, finding out she ran away. They made calls, filed cases, heck! Ithnan tried to hire a detective to find her.

They questioned him if he knew she was going to do this, which he responded to with a 'no,' he knew it was bad, lying to them like this, but this was a secret she had entrusted to him.

A secret that he had to keep, until she returned and revealed it herself.

The note she left behind was vague, it merely said,

'I ran away, please do not look for me. I am sorry.'

Surprisingly, Ugo was good at keeping secrets. No one might expect it, but he is very good with creating a strong front, I mean, he had a safety mechanism before he met Solomon, after all. Why do you think he survived that long without trying to seppuku himself with all the mockery and badmouthing he's suffered?

He's a terrible liar, but good at keeping a smiling face and hiding emotions when needed to be.

Anyway, enough of that. He sighed as he looked at his phone, not once had she contacted him. He was beggining to lose hope.

He closed his eyes, and prayed(he was that
desperate) 'Please, to whatever God there is out there. I know I did messed up things, and I'm weak, but I'm really worried sick about my friend, she hasn't called me in six years! This might be too much but... Just give me a sign that she's alive and well."

He opened his eyes and looked at his phone, nothing happened.

Well, that much was expected anyway, what did he expect to happen?
