IV: The Reunion... With Ugo

The mother and son went down the airplane.

Aladdin excitedly looked around,"What does Uncle Ugo look like, mama?"

She grinned while holding his hand,"Well, he should be really tall, and he wears a scarf and glasses on his face. His hair is kind of silverish too."

He scanned the people of the crowd,"Is that him then?" he said, pointing to a man with a scarf and glasses on his face looking
lost.

"Hmmm.... I'm not sure, his hair's blue and kind of short but he looks like him, let's try calling his name, Ugo!"

"Uncle Ugo!"

The man whipped his head to their direction and smiled, relieved to have found them.

Although albeit, a bit surprised to when Aladdin hugged his torso, sort of tackling him, luckily, he was just pushed back a little bit.

"It's nice to finally see how you look like, Uncle Ugo!"

He was shocked, but awkwardly put his arms around Aladdin too.

"It's nice to finally see you too, Aladdin."

He heard a fake cough and saw Sheba smiling,"O-oh! It's nice to see you too, Sheba!"

She giggled,"No need to be so nervous around me,Ugo, we are friends, after all."

He nodded and agreed,"Y-yeah."

Then Aladdin piped in with a loud growl of his stomach,"Mama, Uncle Ugo, I'm hungry."

The adults both looked at each other and burst out laughing.

Sheba wiped tears from her eyes,"Okay, Lad(pun intendedXD...God, I suck), let's go buy some food, shall we?"

"So, why did you decide to come back today of all days?"

She smiled, watching Aladdin play around and charming people with his kyootness (yes, that is how it's speeled, as you can see, I am a master failure---wait what?)

"Well, he decided that he wanted to meet his father, and... I should tell them about this, they've probably moved on by now, but still... I think the closure would be good for me. But, primarily, I came back because I promised you, didn't I?"

He was shocked,"Really?"

She nodded,"Yup, I did tell you I would come back, just not when, and I promised you so..... yeah. Besides, you're my friend, Ugo, and you helped and supported me, even if you hated lying to them. I'm sorry."

He smiled and shook his head,"What kind of a person would I be if I didn't help you? And also, they haven't really moved on that much yet... Occasionally, they pause and get sad a while before returning to their usual selves."

She looked down at her hands and clenched them,"Have they? Heh, I'm sorry, it must have been hard. Watching them like that, and being capable to cheer them up."

He faltered a bit,"Yeah... But I know you'd come back eventually. So there's really nothing to apologize for,' He paused and watched as Aladdin laughed and ran about merrily.

'He really looks and acts a lot like him." He thought out loud.

Ahhh...crap...."I-i mean!---"

Sheba smiled,"It's okay. You mean he looks and acts a lot like Solomon, right?"

He nodded,"So you aren't?....." He trailed off the last few words 'against Solomon? Hating him? Bursting into tears? Angry at me for bringing him up?'

"Haha, No, even if I was a bit sad long ago, I wish for Aladdin's happiness, I don't want him to live his life not knowing his own father."

"So you're here to see Solomon, right? And then what?"

"Not just Solomon. You guys too, Arba, You, Wahid, Falan, everyone... I'll tell Solomon that Aladdin is from him.'

Ugo leaned forward, anticipating her words,

'And then, if he ever wants to ever join me and Aladdin, I'll refuse him. I came here to
fullfill my promise to you, let Aladdin meet him, and visit my friends, that's it, nothing else."

"And what if he wants to take responsibility?"

"You remembered what I said six years ago, right?"

He nodded,"I see."

"I'm still going by that, and also, I don't think he'll be able to come into mine and Aladdin's life."

"Why not?"

"Well, I do know, from what I've heard, he's engaged to Arba-chan, right?"

"E-ehh?! How did you know that?"

"..... I watched the news?"

"O-oh, right... It was announced to the media, wasn't it? I forgot."

She laughed,"You're so forgetful, Ugo-kun!"

He laughed along with her,"So... when are you going to go see us again?"

"Well... you still all live in the same apartment complex, right?"

He nodded.

"Once Aladdin and I settle into a hotel, we'll go drop by, maybe around noon? tomorrow?"

He felt his lips curve up to an excited smile,"Really?!"

She laughed again,"Yes, could you not tell anyone I'm visiting? I want it to be a surprise."

"Sure!' He said, obviously giddy,'I'll pick you up tomorrow, it may not look like it, but everything hasn't been the same since six years ago, so you might need help in getting to the complex."

"Thanks Ugo, thank you so much."

"You really don't need to tell me that. We and our friends are family, after all. It's only natural that we look after each other."

She sent him another greatful and relieved smile,"But still.... Never mind. Aladdin! We're going now!"

A dissapointed 'awww' was made by Aladdin's newly made friends, and a 'see you later' and an 'okay mama' from Aladdin.

She stood up from her seat, and Ugo did as well,

"Do you want me to drive you there?"

"No, thanks anyway, Ugo, but I can manage myself."

"Okay. Take care. See you tomorrow."

Aladdin went to her side and held her hand as they walked to the direction of hotels.

"See you tomorrow, Ugo."
